You will be learning stuff based on what you learnt in secondary so your foundation needs to be at least somewhat there.
okay thank you for the reply!!! -

Look forward & study hard when you go to MI. No point looking backward or cry over split milk. What is over is already over. You are still very young. Just study hard & you will have a bright future ahead of you.
will do so, thank you!^^confusedbee:
i dun think its advisable to put down a jc in ur option form, or even appeal into a JC. It would be better if u put down poly courses..:)
Thank you for your reply! I wasnt eligible to even list down jc courses as well... Listed all poly courses but got into MI which was my 7th -

I think its a good choice if your foundation not that strong. But make sure work hard. The odds of going into university from A level is better than poly route. The extra year could be a blessing in disguise for you....
hopefully, thank you!!! ^^confusedbee:
Have u look at millenia institute ?
what do you think about MI?
I heard from my teacher friend that it is really tough to do well there... -
protutor:
I will try my best! Thank you for the reply!!!Sorry, I am not being a wet blanket, but I think A Level may not suit you. As I had gone through the route before, so I can tell you that as compared to A Level, O Level is a piece of cake. You can say that I will work harder for A Level (many actually say that after getting the posting results), but the fast paced lesson and rigour will make you have a second thought. I took H2 Math Economics Chemistry and Physics, so as a Science student, I know how hard it is to cope. I even saw my friend who scored L1R5 of 12 points failing all his subject in JC.
After all, it is your own choice. If you are ready for a new challenge in MI, go for it then

personalizer:
From my personal experience, if you're determined to work hard, and I mean very hard, you will do well. I did badly for my o levels as well, by my own standard, which was 13 raw, 9 nett. C5 for english and b3 for chem. chem does require o level knowledge, but not ask much as you think you need. I forgot all my o level chem knowledge in jc as well. The important point is to listen to lectures and do all your tutorials before every tutorial lesson. Take the chance at tutorial classes to clear your doubts. DO NOT procrastinate and wait until you're near exams then start to consult your tutors, this will cause a snowballing effect and you'll realize you can't catch up by then. All subjects are the same, consult if in doubt, don't wait. I can see you're determined to go the jc/mi route, so don't give up and prepare to work doubly hard. When you're about to give up, just think of the end result when you receive your result slip from your principal
Thanks for the reply! I wanted to take BCE (H2) and M as H1(since i didnt take amath) How is the syllabus like? Does it really really require very strong o level knowledge as foundation?confusedbee:
27 points is an average of 4 points for each subject of your L1R5.
I wouldn't suggest you going the JC route, because the demands of a JC curriculum is tremendous, and especially for H2 Maths and H2 Physics, it builds on your O levels knowledge.
JC teachers assumed you are well versed with your O levels curriculum, and if you aren't, it will be really tough to survive JC.
(for chem esp)
I guess you don't want to regret like you did during o levels right?
i dont! thank you for the inspiring reply!!!!!
