Does anyone think it’s a good idea to put him in afternoon session CCC with less academics demand, and then maybe I can try arrange my work to spend more time with him doing educational activities, trips and worksheets in the mornings? At least he won’t spend all the time in school being expected to sit still and do worksheets that he maybe do independently?

Only you can make that decision. Will you be able to change your working hours without jeopardizing your career aspirations? If yes, then, I think children's welfare should get the first priority, anyway. You can perhaps give it a try for one term (3 months) and, if it doesn't work out as you expected, you can go back to the church kindy.

Thanks for the encouragement. I guess I will have to make suggestions to the school on how to reduce the teacher's workload... Maybe allow him to bring back uncompleted worksheets so that we can personally guide him in a way I know he won't rebel. Might even have to suggest an external temporary teaching aide :imdrowning: and burn a hole in my pocket.
And KIV afternoon childcare with partial homeschooling... There goes my career... Oops
And also I bought activity books and handwriting books and educational toys for both sets of grandparents and I noticed how immediately he could focus beter, at least at home! Looks like its true that only consistent discipline and boundaries from all parents and grandparents will work for my child, who is a born spirited child, who laughs and cries and plays harder than the average child!
And hope no adhd!!! -

Missk,
While trying to come up with set of suitable routine, it is also essential to emphasize on building resilience and character. My boy grows into a very big hearted boy, looking at glass half full instead of half empty and appreciative of what is given to him. I must thanks his church preschool for this emphasis of being thankful and the ex principal for being supportive.
His N2 teacher assigned the assistant teacher to coach the few kids like my boy in small group setting during class time. When we were hesitant to let my boy go for class outing or participate in year end concert, she also encouraged us, and assigned the assistant teacher to partner my boy. We were also blessed with thoughtful parents who never complained (not that I know) about my boy and he was also invited to some parties later on.
We had these angels to give us hope and guidance in time of need and our down time. Hope you meet yours soon too.

Me too…hope his teachers will work with us to improve his behaviour… Really need everyone to work together. I noticed another big change this week… He actually initiated at home to do his work without me asking! He even asked me to start the timer haha. And after that, he wanted to play piano too, and didn’t get up before 20 mins… That is already considered good for him. He also became better at staying with me when outside when I bribe him with a coin for kiddy ride for following mummy. Previously he won’t even heed any bribes or threats.
Unfortunately, I noticed his form teacher had not been around since beginning of the week… Hope she didn’t quit or fall sick due to stress! She looked stressed out handling her class and my boy (dun blame her). Even overheard other teachers giving her encouragements not to stress -

I already PM you. You can check it out. -
For parents in the same shoes, let me share this with you - I cried buckets of heartache and desperation tears going through Pri school with DS. The journey is not easy. Whatever you do for your DC with never show immediate results. But don’t give up. If you do, then your DC will be set up for failures. Children with ADHD need lots of understanding and help from their parents.
