Hi, my DD1 is also in year 1.

Is there a possibility that a student is selected for a few CCAs since he/she attended a few auditions? Or they will be given the 1st CCA if they are selected, if not, followed by 2nd, 3rd CCA and so on.

Hi:) The student will be given their first choice should they pass the interview, if not, second choice and as followed.

My DD1 said some of her friends were informed of the CCA already, and she is still waiting anxiously.

Hi um, that is highly unlikely to happen but during my year in sec 1, should your child not be accepted into any of the CCAs of her choice, she will most probably end up in an uniform group. anyways, normally, the success rate of being accepted into the CCA of your 1st or 2nd choice is pretty high so no worries^^

Well....PA like CO and string emsemble....
and those which rep sch for SYF and sch events will get u high CCA pts....

As for UG.... regular attendance, more volunteer, work hard to collect as many badges,
or ranks as possible....
no prob to get the required pts....

Go for the one which u have the interest, ( or at least not hate to),
otherwise it is a torture to be stuck there for 4 yrs.....

For UG, pupils will get lots of opportunities for CIP…

But not to worry, DHS will provide opportunities as well…
juz look out for the emails alert and sign up …

There is an email alert of a series of coming CIP programme, but it is for yr 4, 5 and 6 ( older kids)

Gal said that she wants to sign up for the Car Wash Charity ( fr 8 a.m to 5 p.m),
Where donations of the public will bo go to the fund of the needy children of Philippines under the Yellow Boat Project.
I told her, she has Never volunteer to wash my car before .....better learn how to wash my car first before washing for others.....

What's a good excuse to get her to wash the car for me....haha :evil:

I, too, dunno of anything when my gal stepped into sec sch....juz learn along the way....
Fyi, i only knew that CCA points are useful in the computation of GPA grade
for yr 4 only when she was in yr 3

When free....juz browse thru this thread where there are quite a fair bit of useful info contributed by DHS parents.....

I believe that nowadays.....
kids are more intellectual, energetic and able to handle lots of things at the same time.....
beyond our expectations....
So juz have faith and confident in them......cheers !!!
