Prob order KFC since they can do delivery...first day of CNY, we usually wake up late after watching late night tv program. I will be very relieved after the drama-ing there....or maybe i will bring iPad to play games.

Now no more KFC & Pizza Hut 2-in-1? I thought they belongs to same company or something

Miserable time today…a mother who is mean to her son and said her son will have retribution. The reason? For asking his mother to rent out a master bedroom to supplement their high expenses to drink and smoke.

My hubby was so hurt.
I have enough…after witnessing with my own eyes.

In the reunion dinner aspect, I am very blessed. Both mum and mil never book the same day and same time for reunion dinner. So there is never any issue. I have not heard from my siblings and their wives too but I do know they always eat on different days.

My day was really stressed and dramatic..
Gave out at least 50 angpows, mainly strangers somemore..
Stressed trying to make sure 'familiar' faces not missed out..

Was informed by hub that his mother doesn't have any 'lai see'. Told him it is not the amount that matters...even if just $2...but if she doesn't have any 'lai see', then the suay one is her. At the table while eating KFC, hub asked her to consider renting out master bedroom to supplement...gently said that he and his siblings can't increase. She blasted him...saying she will never rent. Will only sell :mad: Then added, 'don't forget, you also have children...just watch it and see if your children do this to you.'

I think we need to be more positive about CNY! Too many complaints about MILs at a time when we are supposed to be reaffirming our family ties. The MIL stories can go on forever everyday but CNY comes once a year!

not every family has understanding MIL. If yours happen to have one, then indeed you're blessed. Protect your blessings. Unfortunately, not everyone in this world is blessed.
We can't choose our relatives. We can't choose our own MIL, FIL, SIL, BIL, can we ?
