Thanks Augmum. I feel as lost as my DD1. I have no clue on the sec sch life, subjects and everything else. Learning together with my DD1.

Thankful that I have helpful parents and students in Kiasuparents.

There is an email alert of a series of coming CIP programme, but it is for yr 4, 5 and 6 ( older kids)

Gal said that she wants to sign up for the Car Wash Charity ( fr 8 a.m to 5 p.m),
Where donations of the public will bo go to the fund of the needy children of Philippines under the Yellow Boat Project.
I told her, she has Never volunteer to wash my car before .....better learn how to wash my car first before washing for others.....

What's a good excuse to get her to wash the car for me....haha 😉

No worry .....
I, too, dunno of anything when my gal stepped into sec sch....juz learn along the way....
Fyi, i only knew that CCA points are useful in the computation of GPA grade
for yr 4 only when she was in yr 3 😉

When free....juz browse thru this thread where there are quite a fair bit of useful info contributed by DHS parents.....

I believe that nowadays.....
kids are more intellectual, energetic and able to handle lots of things at the same time.....
beyond our expectations....
So juz have faith and confident in them......cheers !!!
Hi,

My son is in DHS sec1. I would want to know the impact of failing HCL in sec1 or in sec2. I am worry for him because he is not strong in CL, but he likes DHS much. Thank you in advance.

on the first day of school there was a briefing regarding this. out of the whole level, abt 10 ppl dun take hcl in primary school

if your son fails hcl in sec 1 and 2, he will have to take normal chinese from sec 3-4 and take o level chinese. when he proceeds on to jc, he will have to continue taking chinese too while the hcl ppl dunnid to

Thanks for your reply.
WC 😄

Just wondering, can winning 'Honorable Mention' in Cassini Scientist For a Day contest contribute to CCA points? Thanks! 🙂

No, chinese test usually include 综合填空 and comprehension.

Usually, the teacher would have told the class the test components which are required.
In future, if u are in doubts, u can always email the subj teacher- in - charge for further clarifications.....
