Hi all, my girl is in P1I also. Really glad to know more of you all here.

We are also very curious about the pancake thingy. Apparently from our understanding, there is also playground facilities within that pancake room.
Not sure if my girl is telling us correctly because she is always the blur type.

      😂

      So the pancake tradition continues.

DD is P4 this year. When she was in P1, she had lotsa pancake as well. In the school counsellor's room. Think it's Mrs Huang. Very nice, chirpy lady who makes the pancakes for the girls.

Same here.. My girl is always telling me about the free chocolates and asking for less sugar

Asked her for more details and she can't answer... I'm very curious about the pancake room thingy...

There is no streaming from P2 to P3. Only P3 to P4 based on three subjects minus Chinese.

our Mother Tongue can be Chinese, Malay or Tamil.

asking on behalf of my friend …
are there any Non-Chinese pupils here taking up Chinese, as 2nd language Mother Tongue ?
                is it allowed ?

                if Not allowed -
can Non-Chinese pupils sit inside Chinese lessons just to learn Chinese be exposed to the language, but do not take the P6 Chinese PSLE paper ?

Many non Chinese students take Chinese as MT, weaker students screened out to do as foundation subject. I came across quite a few non Chinese students @ the Chinese reading program while I was doing PV there.

Since the student take up Chinese as MT, she would not be able to attend other MT lessons as timing clashes. If not taking Chinese in PSLE, how to score with only 3 subjects?

Yes. Couple of my DD's classmates are going. Last yr in P4, the immersion trip to Taiwan was abt Chinese and the girls were heading to Beitou School, which has been est'd abt a century ago.

curious ... is it compulsory to go for this type of trip, or only for selected pupils only ? (ie. those able to speak Chinese well when go Taiwan)
                        is the trip ex ?
