      CCHM mum:
I have a concern about Chung Cheng students environment. It seems that there are alot of students in the school speaking hokkien vulgarities. Also the English standard is quite low in the school. Maybe this is a Chinese School and most students are better in Chinese. I do wish that they will brush up their English standards in the school. It is important to be effectively bilingual and not just too focused on Chinese language.

Another point is that alot of classes are quite rowdy. This is the feedback that I got from students from different classes.

Does your child face the same situation in school and in class?
Hi CCHM mum, I have been to the school a few times but have never heard any of the students speaking vulgarities at all. Is your child in lower or upper sec.?

        CCHM mum:
I wonder how many parents of chung Cheng students are in this forum. It seems that the top schools have alot of members here and their thread is always active. Does it mean that fewer Chung Cheng parents are concerned about what is happening in their child's secondary school life?

Hi, my child is in CCHS (Main) and I'm a full-time working mom. I have been receiving SMSes from the school almost everyday on matters like things to bring, what to study for the coming test and homework etc for 1JT šŸ™‚

Hi. My gal is in 1JT. I was told that the form teacher who is also the English teacher has been absent for 1 week. I attended the English language workshop last mth and the HOD assured the parents that their students will be able to score well in English even without tuition if they do their HM wk diligently.

Hi CCHM mum, don't worry. How is your child coping with higher mother tongue? Did your child pass the recent Chinese test? Do not worry too much, I believe the school will provide extra lessons to those students who are weaker in the subject. That's what they told us during the parents-teachers-meeting.
