Silent reader reporting!! DD born 2009, having a huge headache choosing a primary sch. We are catholics and wish to enrol DD in CHIJ. St nick is one of our choice but we are living in simei currently. Hoping to be able to get a flat near st nick by this year.
Another choice will be st hildas at tamp but unless hub is able to join them as a pv otherwise the chances getting in is slim. >_<||| -

The chances at St Nick's are even slimmer than St Hilda's, sorry to burst your bubble...

Hi
My son is also born in 2009. I am shock to find out PV application is this year July. Just found out from school yesterday and chance on this thread. What a blessing!
We are eyeing at Ai Tong. All ready for PV. Currently not staying within 1 km but have intention to rent one. Was told even PV also they choose those staying within 1km! -
Dear mummies and daddys,
Can I check if I want to do the grassroot way. Can I volunteer if I am not residing in that zone? I went down to bishan cc to collect the volunteer form and this guy kept telling me there is no guarantee that I will get a recommendation letter. I said if my attendance is perfect and actively involved I don’t see why not right? He still insist no promise.
I am also a shhk member for almost a year. Called up and asked what is e criteria for getting a recommendation letter. The officer told me they have no clue. Anyone has clue so that I can try this route as well? -

SHHK now has a volunteer scheme for phase 2B qualification.

You can read more about it at SHHK website http://www.shhk.com.sg/content/faq-shhk-member-volunteer-scheme-shhk-affiliated-schools-members-only. -
Thanks phtthp and BigDevil for your replies. I am so lost and confused these 2 days just thinking about this issue. Both kids are down with running nose and gastric flu. Totally stressed out.
We live near to serangoon north, which Rosyth is 1.003km from our house. Dont even dare to think about Rosyth. It is equally as bad as Ai Tong but since I am a SHHK member I thought might as well chance it. I heard Rosyth may not need PV and I will be in 2C anyway.
Another problem is we just moved into our new home last June. Just becoz of being near to Ai Tong we are thinking of renting this place out and move to Bishan/Sin Ming. The plan was to move when registration comes in 2015. Never did I expect I have to do it before June this year due to PV. Heartache when all things and furniture are still new… Tenants will not take good care of our stuff. But if we dont move, cant think of what other ways and what schools I can register. My elder one is boy and second one is a gal… I need to have a co-ed school!
