Even though I complain about the endless housework, body aches etc etc...I still don't want a maid again. Those years when we had maid one after another...high costs plus the problems they give....enough !!!
Frustrating having a stranger in the house, have to house and feed her.
CNY really no big deal. I do not have guests. -
I like to buy something of good quality like hero jam, better oyster sauce, rice or soya sauce. I believe in quality food since we cannot get that outside.
For health reasons. Always tell my kids even my potatoes are better, though not organic.
No maid means I can do what I want…eat what I want to…with a maid, sometimes a simple curry puff for them becomes a ‘necessity’. Like what the agency said, don’t start this kind of little treats or maids take for granted…it’s so true. The things they do just drive you up the wall. Without a maid now, I get backache or some aches doing housework…but my heart doesn’t ache. With maids, they waste water, gas, food etc etc. Household expenditure goes up tremendously. -
As a SAHM, we do not see need to buy pretty clothes...hardly any chance to wear them esp since we are under 'house arrest' most of the time
When we are stuck at home, we want to get out...but when we go out, we end up in household, children's dept or Popular bookstores. If I see something nice, I ask myself, 'do I need this?' Most of the time, the answer is no. So the outing becomes aimless walking. -
Cannot like that… That’s how husbands stop beo-ing us. While we hold the triumph cards (children), they are after all visual animals. The better accomplished, well travelled the husband, the more we need to match up - be it mentally, emotionally, physically or simply, visually.

That's true! But I can't find the time for myself- no time for facial, exercise class
after work rushing back home to pick up kid; weekends catching up on housework and spending time with kid haiz..

no matter how busy i am,i’ll always find time (at least 20min) to go for quick jog/swim.
Exercise detoxifies ur body,in a way it is good for ur skin n complexion. No nid to go facial.
In my whole life,i hv not gone for any facial…i always feel that if u eat well, sleep well, exercise, keep to 3steps basic face cleansing, toning, moisturizing…good enuff… -

Heheh me too- no time to go facial. Too lazy to exercise - I don't go gym or go jogging. I am waiting for my child to be ready for swimming or roller blading class, or to see if there is any opportunity to shift one of his classes to a club. If can shift, then I can use the club house's pool.Imami:

I go for my monthly pedicure when my kid is at class though. -

:goodpost: I concur. Some may say we do not have to do this for husbands and that is true! So we have to do it for ourselves. I want to look presentable when I walk with him; when I bump into his colleagues out of the blue or when I simply sit down to have dinner with him. All these..make me feel good about myself too
