Dont know leh, if he is seriously ill, think it maybe better for him to go instead of dragging for too long like his wife.

How a person dies, whether that person dies swiftly or slowly reflects the ‘net’ positive points and negative points of a person during his lifetime.

If his negative points > positive points, that person may die in a more painful and draggy way.

If his positive points > negative points, he maybe allowed to die swiftly.

不得好死 vs 善终, somehow that’s one of the ‘summaries’ of our life’s deeds when we are closer to the end of our life.

LKY someone with many positive and negative points, being loved and hated by many, and so still yet to know what’s his ‘net’ at the end.

Just pray that he doesn’t have to suffer much and if have to go, to go swiftly for the long rest…

Whether his policies are effective or not, no matter how popular or unpopular those policies were, we have to thank him for the peace and stability we enjoy today. So I sincerely wish him speedy recovery.

Think better to change the word 'we' to 'I' or 'My family' to reflect the sentiment more accurately...

The sorrowful grievances of many older Chinese educated people simply cannot be comprehended by the more 'elite' ang mo pai people...

No matter how much you dislike him, the fact is we will not be here if not for him and the pioneer batch of statesmen who gave their all to build the foundation of this nation.

Well said. Even though some of his polices have not gone down well with us, he has good intentions. If not for him, will we be where we are today? He is a GREAT MAN that earns my full respect. Wishing him a speedy recovery and many many years of good health 😄
