Somebody with T-score 252+2 was offered third Lang last year. Those with 251+2 were not offered.

Looking at the questions in the link, they don’t look like MO questions… they just require the students to be careful in answering.

      Juzgirlz:
My 16yrs old has now been on OrthoK for 3 weeks. Her degrees dropped from 975 astig 425 to now 0 and she does not need to wear glasses anymore after 1 week. At first I was worried about sleeping with lenses and infection, but my DD seemed to be very comfortable with the lenses, now she can even take care of everything on her own and the optometrist checks the lenses every time we see him.

My hubby and I are finally relieved that our daughter can finally go without her glasses. Whether stopping her degree or not, at least she can put aside her thick glasses and do her track&field freely.

Hi David wife, thank you for sharing your experience, I would not have taken up OrthoK if I did not see your post earlier!

Hi yzsee, we got Lutein from the supplement shop. Thank you!
      Hi,
could you share which Optometrist your girl is seeing for the OrthoK lens?

I think the problem is with 250 this year, you are unable to get in to ANY IP school while NYGH student with 250 is able to get in to NYGH leading to HCI...hence the frustration of others....

Making an extra effort to match up to others with higher COP is without say and their responsibilities but this and admission is 2 different things.

If scoring 250s is a problem, we seriously have a problem. Perhaps it's time that the IP experiemt is extended to normal neighborhood schools as well.

P/S: It could have been worst. You could be a boy from NYPS that scores 251 and realizing NYGS is not going to accept you.

My DS is from NYPS and he scored 251... no affliction to HCI, nor other schools. He got his second choice ACSI Express. He said he will work hard to get into IB after yr 2. Similarly for a number of his classmates who got 252. Not getting into IP/IB is not end of the world. it is our attitude that matters.

Hi, sorry if I am off-topic for the current moment but for the past few days I have been really restless. My DD is from a neighborhood pri sch and her t-score is 260. We put RGS as our 1st choice, MGS IP as 2nd, and NJC as 3rd. Since RGS and MGS COP were 258 and 256 respectively last year, we thought my DD will get into her dream school which is RGS. But on Tuesday, we were really shocked to know that DD was posted to NJC. But I realized that RGS COP this year was 260 and can't understand why DD couldn't get in. We appealed for RGS already and we are waiting for the outcome. What is the number of vacancies in RGS for appealing students? And is there any hope that the appeal will be successful? Merry Christmas and TIA!

Your DD just missed by a few decimal places... She should stand a good chance in her appeal. Good luck!

    • RE: [Fun Poll] 2015 PSLE Results

Is it safe to place schools with COP (previous year) 8 points below the student’s Tscore as 5th and 6th choices? Or do we have to put schools which are 10 points lower as a "catch all"? We do not wish to end up having a MOE posted school.

      Thanks for advice.

Anyone can share, how much exactly is per lesson for P5 level at TLL?

In 2014, it was $1151.50 for 14 weeks for P5 English. You have to add 7% GST. The fee was slightly lower for science and maths: at $1,109.50 each for 14 weeks.

Not sure if there is any increase since then.

    • RE: Any Recommendation of a Good Maid Agency

      Sunshineday08:
Hi Hopes or anyone, may I know if I want to employ a new maid and was told the maid I selected that her passport will expire in 1 yrs time... Is it still ok to employ? Agency said no prob. to renew her passport next yr? (Work permit valid 2yrs)... Is it true?

      Thanks!
The work permit validity date is always ONE month before maid's passport expiry date. You have to renew her work permit after she renews her passport. The insurance will be issued for 2 years though.

I know the above as I have been in the same situation before.
