I will put the packaged raw meat into one plastics cos sometimes i find leakages.

But I am the one giving all these aunties THE dirty look when I see them tearing additional & chuck into their bags. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

I have a confession to make. This uncle also swipes plastic bags to bring home  . And my tissues come from Macdonald's, and the hand tower dispensers in the school's toilet πŸ˜‰

I was curious why Chief would appear under Club Super Aunties and I read this ! :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

        Hi all,

Reviving this thread. What are some of your so-called \"Aunty\" habits? For me, I always tear and bring back those transparent plastic bags from supermarkets. Have received some dirty looks from the staff and I know Im not very environmentally friendly...but can't resist!

Any of you have any Aunty confessions to make??
I am the opposite! I bring recycling Bags with me all the time, so that I don't use plastic bags! Not so much of being environmental friendly, rather we don't use that many plastic bags at home.

My aunty habits include talking loudly (e.g. Xx ah, hold my hand! Xx being my son's name) or ask the cashier,\"got credit card discount?\" There must be more but can't think of any right now...

Don't sweat la, chief. Nah, we not that atas to buy trash bags. We still use plastic bags but we use only one or two a day. when I go supermarket, I at least leave with one basket worth of groceries. On days when I need to do major in stock, one trolley maybe also not enough. You can imagine how many plastic bags those shopping can generate, esp when the supermarket staff loves to double bag almost everything? And I haven't even talk about shoppings at bookshops, bakeries and fashion stores....

I still get plastic bags from here and there (eg ta bao lunch and eat in office, when I buy second hand books from some folks etc). These are sufficient to go around, since we don't use so much bags at home. We empty our trash every night though, so we still need at least one bag each day πŸ˜„

Not just at those swiping plastics bags.....i also give dirty looks at those who
use their fingernails to test on tomatoes, apples, cherries, papaya etc and treating fruits like pasar malam clothes, throw instead of putting them down

Seriously, I wonder if I will be hacked to death one day.....for engaging in staring activities. :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

                This auntie's plastic bag confession.

I double bag the items packed by the cashier.

If and when they give me dirty looks or even so much as ask how come I have the audacity to just take... I will go into naggy auntie mode. Will nag loudly how their plastic bags are so thin... blah blah.. how the corners of the dishwashing liquid is enough to cut before we even leave the supermarket.. blah blah again.. how we always spend so much every time we spend there cannot even take extra plastic bag? blah blah blah.. I can continue nagging about how troublesome it had been for us to take public transport with our children and a couple of bags pop open..

Nagging. It's a useful skill. Never underestimate the power of nagging.

What more coming from an auntie.

buds, I don't think real super aunties shop at Cold Storage... at least according to my character analysis of Mrs CKS. Fairprice and Sheng Shiong would be their favourite haunts.

And finally there's also PRIME. Very old school neighbourhood supermarket.
But at least got thicker plastic. πŸ˜‰

Mebbe firefly38 can just go Cold Storage to get the transparent plastic bags without purchase
( :siam: ) and also without having BeContented glaring at her.
