Oooo Giant... I like! Kinda like the scaled-down version of the ill-fated Carrefour. But it at least has a electronics/hardware section that I can hang around while Mrs CKS pays homage to the fish market.Ya true.. got one more.. Giant.
And finally there's also PRIME. Very old school neighbourhood supermarket.
But at least got thicker plastic.
Mebbe firefly38 can just go Cold Storage to get the transparent plastic bags without having BeContented glaring at her. -
Buds_hubs follows me everywhere in Giant especially when I wanna check out the fish. Mebbe he finds the guys over at the fish section fishy.

They have extra tentacles issit? But honestly, that's very nice of buds hubs. I wouldn't go near the fish section if I can avoid it. -
Yes. Very nice of him.
Every time I try to even peek at the fish section he'd say fish not fresh.
Even when the guys smile and say they'd choose a good one for me. -
I have been in denial but recently 2 sellers at my local wet market addressed me with the honorific Big Sister instead of Small Sister title. Seems like the new bangs aka fringe cannot camouflage my age.
So here I am signing in to the Aunties club. -
:rotflmao: Funny lah you Mawar!
-
So, wait... ... one question.
So, if the supermarket and/or market sellers addressed me as mei nu then I don't qualify to be in Super Auntie Club?

I shop at Cold Storage & FairPrice. CS' transparent plastic bags are thicker and more durable (so I usually take more) while FP's are thinner. CS' grocery bags are really thin though so I usually ask the cashiers to pack double or...pack my groceries in many separate bags
buds, I don't think real super aunties shop at Cold Storage... at least according to my character analysis of Mrs CKS. Fairprice and Sheng Shiong would be their favourite haunts.
And one more Aunty confession of mine. I always take my time to choose items and pick the ones which expire the latest, even though I may have to dig around right to the back. Any of you do this too??
Initially, I was a shy Super Aunty. Always making sure no one is around before I indulge in my Aunty habits. But with practice, I'm a lot more thick-skinned now, ha! -
I used lots of plastic bags when my kids were in diapers. I used as many bags as I did diapers. I asked for double bag everything to get my hands on more. I asked friends and relatives to collect for me. I even taught them to fold the plastic bags into little origami triangles so they could pass me more.
These days, I bring my own carriers. I have extra carriers in my car just in case. I carry both a slingbag and a carrier. Real ahjumna looking with a bag on each shoulder. I have extra folded carrier in my slingbag. Don't know when this habit started. :siao: -

Depends on how well you have maintained or preserved yourself. If you doubt their sincerity or think they are being sarcastic, then you can join the club. :rotflmao:So, wait... ... one question.
