buds, I don't think real super aunties shop at Cold Storage... at least according to my character analysis of Mrs CKS. Fairprice and Sheng Shiong would be their favourite haunts.
I shop at Cold Storage & FairPrice. CS' transparent plastic bags are thicker and more durable (so I usually take more) while FP's are thinner. CS' grocery bags are really thin though so I usually ask the cashiers to pack double or...pack my groceries in many separate bags

And one more Aunty confession of mine. I always take my time to choose items and pick the ones which expire the latest, even though I may have to dig around right to the back. Any of you do this too??

Initially, I was a shy Super Aunty. Always making sure no one is around before I indulge in my Aunty habits. But with practice, I'm a lot more thick-skinned now, ha!

I used lots of plastic bags when my kids were in diapers. I used as many bags as I did diapers. I asked for double bag everything to get my hands on more. I asked friends and relatives to collect for me. I even taught them to fold the plastic bags into little origami triangles so they could pass me more.

These days, I bring my own carriers. I have extra carriers in my car just in case. I carry both a slingbag and a carrier. Real ahjumna looking with a bag on each shoulder. I have extra folded carrier in my slingbag. Don't know when this habit started. :siao:

So, wait... ... one question.

So, if the supermarket and/or market sellers addressed me as mei nu then I don't qualify to be in Super Auntie Club? 😒
Depends on how well you have maintained or preserved yourself. If you doubt their sincerity or think they are being sarcastic, then you can join the club. :rotflmao:

I think I no longer feel the thickness. These days it just feels so natural. :rotflmao:

Me three. Eh, I have a reason for this. I like to hoard food, and very so often I have to junk some because of the expiry date. Not good to throw out food ok, they add to the carbon footprint! So choose the ones that have longer expiry dates. :rotflmao:

This is called smart shopper, not super auntie πŸ™‚ I do it all the time, digging into the shelf to get the freshest milk packet. When I buy books, I always pick the third or fourth in the line.
