Hey all, MOE has just released the cut-off points of secondary schools and JCs in the latest posting exercise. I have arranged the schools by order of their COPs for easy reference. Hope this helps in your secondary school selection and planning.

Some interesting facts pointed out -- A distinction in Higher Mother Tongue (HMT) will grant 3 bonus points for entry into Special Assistance Plan (SAP) schools; Merit = 2 points and Pass = 1 point. SAP schools tend to put more emphasis on the Chinese language and Chinese cultural education. There are 11 SAP schools as follows:
          Nanyang Girls' High
          Hwa Chong Institution
          Dunman High
          River Valley High
          St Nicholas Girls'
          Catholic High
          Nan Hua High
          Anglican High
          Nan Chiau High
          Chung Cheng High
          Maris Stella High
(MOE has not stated if the cut-off points of these SAP schools are inclusive of HMT bonus points. Could somebody help to clarify?)

Do let me know if there are any errors in the compilation so that I can amend them. Thanks!

          -Justin

FYI, St. Joseph Institution cut-off lowest at 241, not 242 as my friend's son got in at that score.

Hi CocoaDoggy, thanks for the info. However, the cop for SJI 2012 S1 posting is stated as 242 on MOE website. Perhaps your friend's son got into SJI via appeal or DSA.

Yep these scores are taken straight from the MOE website. Your friend's case will likely be a special one πŸ˜ƒ

Yes, his son got in via Appeal. So the cut-off point does not include those who appealed. Another friend got 242 unable to get in yet 241 can get in via appeal.

                Thanks for the info anyway.

Yes, this is the website. You have to select level of education, follow by a school & then achievements.

The COP for dual track schools eg. ACS(I), SJI, CHS are for the O level tracks.
