Hi Zarahmom! I'm a P1 Faith Parent too. How's your gal coping in school now?

just a quick qns, did you ever tried to communicate with the FT? My experience was that i sent her emails and there was never any respond.

Last month my DD had a fall in FT class and injured her chin which requires 12 stitches. Thereafter, FT did not even call to check on DD's condition.

So after that i sent an email to inform her that DD will be on mc for 3-4 days. No reply....

2 days later, i sent another email to the FT asking if there is any homework for DD. No reply.

Frankly, I'm quite dissapointed with the FT. I actually wanted to write to the principal regarding this, but same time, im worried that the FT may \"blacklist\" DD because her mother complained about her.

Anyone 1 faith parent here? do you have any experience with the FT?

            hi jaymee,

she is doing ok and always excited to go to school,, except on Chinese spelling days.. she is very stressed out on Mother Tongue class, as we are non-Chinese speakers..

there is 1 email (the first email that I sent her)-- which is about my willingness to be a class parent..she did not reply at all..

she replied on 2 occassions on my emails, but I do agree that I expect a bit more proactiveness...specially when the girls have had an accident (my DD also have had accidents the past few weeks-- the first one is very bad--happened during PE Class, the 2nd one is minor.. she fell on the floor - butt first- when her seat mate pulled her chair)

am also concerned abt the same thing -- am I just expecting TOO much, overly worried? however, I do feel that our instincts may tell us something, but I am also concerned that my daughter being \"blacklisted\" if I complain to the VP).. or even if I just complain to her and raise my concerns....though I think the right thing to do is still to try to

1st call her after 3pm - general office
2nd try to schedule a one-on-one meeting (try to be as objective as possible) ==> though I really hope we dont have to do this at all ==> quite uncomfortable I know

last resort is report to VP if all else fails..

perhaps book an appointment to see her, talk to her, face to face.
worse come to worst after talking and afraid that yr gal will be \"blacklisted\", speak to the P request that yr gal be transferred out to another P1 class, under a different Form Teacher.

Before you seek transfer - find out which P1 class has a hardworking Form Teacher who is kind, compassionate, show concern to her pupils under her care, helpful, willing to give feedback or update parents readily, whenever parents ask for help. Don't join the wrong P1 class - ie. jump from one hot frying pan to another. Different Form Teacher has different character & temperament. Check this out, by asking around discreetly.

Are there P1 parents here from other classes -
whom you think the Form teacher has been nice, show graciousness, show care and concern to the pupils under her charge, and is willing to update parents' enquires, whenever parents leave either email behind or call up to inquire ?

                    Hi,

My gal is in Peace. So far, the FT always reply to my email. She is also very helpful to my enquiry. She has a class blog to update class information such as what letter is given out to the pupils and important dates to take note of.
