My gal is in Peace. So far, the FT always reply to my email. She is also very helpful to my enquiry. She has a class blog to update class information such as what letter is given out to the pupils and important dates to take note of. -

Good for you that ur DD has a good FT… a good teacher is hard to come by though…

I dont think the school will be able to do transfer class … the take up rate during registration is 100%… unless some gals withdraw their seats… otherwise i would assume all classes are filled up though…
DD is also happy with her classmates now… by changing class, she will have to do though the transition again… maybe not ba… -
the parenting workshop on Managing Expectations is really good
my take aways
- a child who is given a clear and achieavable goal (with enough challenges to it)… usually performs well
- goals/expectations should be age appropriate
- do not say "You are smart/clever" when she did something good rather be more specific… say something like … "your efforts paid off"
- reward based on effort rather than just results -

I was there too. Wasn't expecting much but came out with valuable new understanding of how to manage my pre-teen daughter and my younger son... -
about the issue of elder sibling being treated more strictly than younger siblings…
I like the facilitator’s recommendation:
" can you tell me specifically where you think I should have treated you differently?" and if it really is a concern to you, can you forgive me and let me know how we can move on from here?
and also another parent’s tip
I agree we treated you differently. But we love you just the same…" we did what we thought best at that time"… but what you must remember is we did it out of love and we love you… -
