My DS is still having his Common Tests. Completed English, Geography and Science last week. Did well for Science but have not gotten back results for the other subjects. Said English was tough but confident in doing well for Georgraphy.

Today having Higher Chinese and tomorrow Literature.

Son started common tests last Fri with Geog and Math. Today Lit and Science…ends on Thur. Then my younger one starts her CA1.

I’ve adopted hands-off approach this year…firstly, it’s difficult to plan any schedule. So he has to learn to manage time himself…when to study for what subject. With one load less, I can focus on younger one more.

DS got mood. If that topic he likes, no need to teach him anything also he can get all the details right. If it’s uninteresting to him…aiyo, have to knock it in by turning on my loud speakers.

Earth, Landforms and Volcanoes very good. Map reading sleeping or dreaming away.
Thank goodness sci still interest him and he cleared 80% for the surprise test 2 weeks ago. Phew…

These days got lesser time with DS no.1 cos of longer school hours and no.2 needs to be coached too. Revisions got to go on bullet train speed so no time for DS no.1 's wonderland.

I am worried for my DS' Literature test.

He said the teacher very boring and everyone dozes off during lesson time. DS said he tried to keep awake but is a struggle. DS said one day Literature teacher did not come and the whole class erupted with joy. So naughty, must :spank: them.

I am so relieved...taiji Geog, Math and Science to hubby...what to do, I am so lousy in these subjects  I wanted to take out Math tuition, but hubby said he is not able to handle...he can only be backup. No choice lor.

Same here lah...whole class will be very happy when the teacher is on MC :slapshead: there was once Science teacher was on MC but she told the relief teacher to tell the class to expect a test :rotflmao: I burst out in laughter and my son glared at me.

DS Common Test out of the way and he didn't do too badly, just many careless mistakes.

This week, DD in P4 will start her CA1. :xedfingers:

Notice many of your kids are having common test during this period of time but funny, ds sch has no common test. His sch only has a mid year and final year exam that’s all…is his the only sec sch that does not have common test? And what is the impact without them doing the common test?
