        In summary, what the video is saying is, currently man have the technology to "divert" an NEO(asteroid) from it’s path to avoid a collision if it is detected to be on an impact course.

        However, the challenge is to detect the asteroid before it is too late (like the Russian meteor).

        Of all the asteroids which possesses a potential threat to be NEO, only 1% have been detected and tracked.

        Hence, more awareness/contributions is needed for the effort to scan for and detect NEOs.
