Imami:
Most of the time grocery shopping at NTUC is either on Thursday or weekend....dats when new cycle of promotions are released! Lol
Other than the plastic bag thing, I do all these way before I got married. I must be suffering from premature aunty syndrome :rotflmao:
I used to hv this habit of going to supermarket 3-5 times per week. Becos some things are cheaper here and something's are cheaper there. It became like family outing. My hubby would push the trolley, with my then infant son in it. They would go on a learning trip and I always hear my hubby saying,\"this is watermelon!\"
This buying from where is cheap, I find, is also very aunty. Long time ago, I just buy from wherever is convenient.
I will tell my hub, dun buy first perhaps the item might be on promo on Thursday/fri.... -

I think I'm the opposite. Last time I will compare price before buying. Now I just buy almost everything from the big NTUC and urgent food stuff from the small Sheng Siong (incomplete stock) near my block. No more checking price.
Congrats. You have graduated from the Super Aunty Club to the Rich Tai Tai Club...

ChiefKiasu:
I also no longer check the pricing. Too tiring to do so during weekly grocery trips. However, I am also not qualified to join the Rich Tai Tai Club :evil:sleepy:

last time used to compare prices. Then realise the discounts do not justify the savings over the expenses spend the parking, petrol  & time consumed.
but still look out for sales for higher cost items that could give more savings esp. kitchen appliances. -

Cost still reasonable as taking in consideration into petrol, parking &esp my 2monsters tagging along... Hee -
Base on what you guys have shared here, if there is a Super aunties test, think I will fail miserably. Yet my friends have been warning me that I am turning into a typical aunty. Maybe cos among my friends, I go grocery shopping more than I do fashion shopping and I am preferring wet markets to supermarkets.

Few times i \"tried\" to shop for clothing or shoes.
As i walked into Robinsons,i detoured fr. clothing/beauty section,to home appliances section, shopped for pots n pans or bedsheets instead :scratchhead: .
at the end of my shopping session,i came back with bags of frying wok, bedsheet n towels.
i always wonder how i could shop n buy clothing/shoes for myself in the past. How come i can't do it?hmm... i really bcame aunty liao :scared: -
U r not alone Vinegar!! Esp those Robinson sales for members 20% on top of 20%!
Die die will try to park my kids wif mum n dash dwn to grab bedsheets, corning wares, stock up pj for kids etc!!!.. Bt nothing for myself!! -
Me too. Even on holiday, I will check out local supermarkets, day and night markets and farmerโs markets.
