20% discount at Metro is great excuse to go out. I didn't have chance to flutter from floor to floor yest  bought working pants for hubby, paid and then met mum at counter. That laneige toner which I bought is a discontinued range...$25. Why not? Mum did use it before.
Oooo... I seldom go metro mah.. Usually do online shopping... Hw much they selling at counter ah for d slping packs?Imami:
Janet, u bot the laneige from counter? Have any of u bot it from gmarket?
Nope, not tried market (now call qoo10 I think). Same as Janet, I buy from metro when they have 20% storewide sale. Usually I will flutter from one counter to another counter... Hee in stock mah  -
I have been using Karcher vacuum cleaner for several years…it is heavy but the floor is really clean after that…all the dust and hair go straight into the water. No more sneezing episodes for me. I vacuum twice a week…once on Mon/Tue and Friday (hubby will mop on Sat).
Without a maid, my house isn’t spotless of course…with maid, my floor is cleaned 3x a week when kids passed the crawling stage. But I quarreled more with hubby when there was a maid. He was so damn free that he could start quarrels…especially when PUB bill came every month. Had to cut costs drastically…rice, supermarket stuff. -

same as my DH.I thought we've more time once we've maid.but we quarreled more often coz of disagreement in handling maid.He asked me to be nice to her,i tried to convince him i've done my best to treat nice but it didn't work.Well, our DHs do not face them all the time,so they don't know the agony n difficulties.I have been using Karcher vacuum cleaner for several years...it is heavy but the floor is really clean after that...all the dust and hair go straight into the water. I am laziler,i only vacuum n mop once a wk.DH vacuum n i mop...everything is done in 30mins.Once a while,i used disposable wet tissues to wipe windows n grills. -
It's strange sometimes...when we thought we could enjoy life with a maid to get housework done, no need to wash up, have breakfast on the table, lunch and dinner, it works the opposite. Hubby was so free he would be walking around the house like some QC manager. Son was about 4 when we had first maid...when the primary school called to ask if we were keen to do PV on Saturday mornings, I had excuse to shoo hubby out. Maid and I were stressed having him at home.
My first maid could eat 1 bottle of strawberry jam and 1 bottle of peanut butter in 2 weeks...but she is efficient, clean, cook well and look after my bb well. What else can I ask for? This maid made me really lazy  when she left, I didn't know where/how to start
Subsequent maids were not even 1/3 of her. Pissed with their poor attitude, refusal to work/learn and stubbornness, I decided not to have anymore maid.
Hubby had to help out. We quarreled less. Kids learnt to pick up, though not all the time. One thing we enjoyed most was privacy. -

I think I am in the same situation as Vinegar. I argued more with DH over the maid as he don't believe in scolding the maid while I think sometimes we really need to scold them. He always talks nicely to the maid even if she repeats the same mistakes. He said its good that the maid can stand my temper, haha.
I think with a maid only makes DH even lazier, he doesn't need to do any housework and works late everyday. Of course he thinks having a maid is good.
My maid does not really know how to cook as we want her to take care of the baby and do household chores. I don't know why, do not like maid cooking for me so usually I cooked or eat outside.
Anyway, I plan to send my maid back in May when I put my DD in infantcare although her work permit ends in Dec. Sometimes I feel that they are more of a burden than help. My DS is in full day childcare and I intend to put him in student care when he is in P1 next year so I think having a maid at home is not really necessary. Just hope I can cope w/o a maid. -
Ya lor....
Men always feel that they could \"outsource\" everything to u :boogie: , since u've maid.
But this is not always the case. When maid starts to create prob, she'll become \"burden\" more than a \"helper\".
It is always not easy to manage a maid.Treat her nice, she'll cross over ur border.can't punish her coz u might not know what she'll do to ur kids or food. -

These men get to be good guys at home...of course maids like them. Sir is always good, not like 'mam'. With a maid, I cannot complain bcos 'I have maid to do work'. Now no maid, I can complain and grumble.Ya lor....

When maid becomes a burden or problem, he will push blame to me. Handling a maid is not easy. -

Yes,exactly. He asked why u didn't teach or explain to her properly?why she always so unhappy?did u scold her?

he gets to be angel at home after work...we have to put up with the maid's attitude the whole day...exactly like his mother...in front of him, act angel...horns appear when he is out. at most i suffer doing housework, but i sent maid off when she did a double-headed act.

That is the thing.I also do not like my DH to be angel, either wf maid or kids, make my job difficult.

my ex Phil maid liked to talk to my DH directly. She did it on purpose coz she knew i would reject her.
I issued a final warning to DH:if u wanna manage,i'll leave everything to u,don't \"counter-manage\"if i'm in charge,or else u create double std.Since that day,he leaves everything to me.If maid/kids go to him,he'll ask them to come to me.
