Can anyone tell us more about HCI'a programs? There's a lot of enlightening information about RI's RP and how kids get selected for RA kn sec 3 but I'm totally in the dark about HCI's programs. Would appreciate if any HCI parent or student can enlighten us. TIA

I am also very keen to know more about HCI's programme as well as the selection on student councillors (or perfects), class committees. What about the CCA selection? How do they go about selecting their CCA?

I also just came to know that they do not provide school bus for students going for 3rd lang at Bishan. Wondering why? Although there is a direct bus but I feel that it will be convenient and also safer for all 3rd lang students to take school bus.

I heard about this consortium thing in HCI open house. Can soemone throw some light on what this is about?

In the High School Section, the consortium system operates on the concept of \"a school within a school\". Teachers and students are grouped into 4 consortia and the structure ensures close guidance and monitoring of students.

the 4 consortium are: Aphelion, ProEd, Ortus and iSpark.

All GEP students and some AMOPS platinum winners are put into iSpark. Malaysia scholars are put into Ortus consortium. For my son batch (Sec 3 next year), iSpark and Ortus are stronger academically.

Thanks xhxie! Any idea how students are selected? What grades must they attain? And how are students graded? I know that in RI 80% and above is 4.0, in ACSI 80% and above is 7 points n with 6 subjects and 3 bonus points a student can score a max of 45 points in ACSI. Can anyone tell me more about HCI’s scoring system? Also, I heard that those who do well consistently during the year are exempted from year end exams. What are the minimum requirements? TIA

Anyone heard of any students trying to DSA out of HCI to RI, ACI or NUSH at end of sec 2 or vice versa? Is this act common among the top IP schools?
