In the MTP slides, it said the HA class allocation would be using S formation. Could someone please explain \"S formation\"? TIA.

The S formation means the kids are allocated to classes as follows: All kids are first ranked. Then based on this ranking,
1st child -> class 3A
2nd chid -> class 3B
3rd -> class 3C
4th -> class 3D
5th -> class 3D
6th -> ckass 3C
7th -> class 3B
8th -> class 3A
9th -> Class 3A
10th ->class 3B etc...

Thanks Mvm. Should 3rd child be in class 3C?
Yes, 3rd child should be in 3C. Typo.

Does your child have a teacher who would punish her students by getting them to stand outside the staff room during recess for forgetting to get parents to sign a math topical test notification paper? What would you do? Heard from my child that a parent called up the teacher to complain and the poor child got scolded again.

DD had classmates being punished by standing outside staff room,

but she couldn’t remember if it was for not having parents’ signature on test papers.

Thanks, BigD.

As said, it was a notification paper for parents about what is going to be tested for the Math topical test.

Fortunately, the punishment wasn't carried out.

Needless to say, I am relieved cos DD doesn't have the habit of eating breakfast, and for her to have to skip recess, would really end up starving her. Not to mention that she was sick whole of last week (hence more blur than usual) plus I was away on business trip too. :sad:

May I know whether if I studied in nanyang high can I enjoy "old girl" status for my daughter to enter primary 1?

Thank you for your reply.

Nanyang pri was \"spinned off\" from NYGH in 1978. So if you graduated from NYGH in or before 1977, then you may enjoy the \"old girl\" status when registering your child at nyps. From 1978, only alumni of nyps may register their children under phase 2a. You may like to call the school for clarification or to attend the p1 registration talk which is usually held during the may/june period.
