Stationery and School bags

Have been following on the bags forum. Getting one for eldest boy who is entering P1 nx yr. Still way too soon but good to research early and buy when there is a sale. Tried the German ones but as my boy is a Nov kid and smaller in frame, am afraid these are too big. Saw a small deuter bag, but is deuter an ergonomics bag?

Some of the Deuter models are ergonomic. I bought one for my dd1 but turns out most of the books are kept in school. So for ds, I might just buy a ordinary sturdy one instead of ergonomic.
I'm not sure if this is the arrangement for all P1s, so best to chk. -

That's what some of my teachers reservist friends told me too, that MOE has acknowledged the issues with small children having to bring around heavy loads and thus encouraged some texts to be left in the school instead. Guess no point to get those overly pricey ergobag ones. Perhaps a simple and light one will do good, any suitable ones to recommend?peterlee:

There's another brand but I can't remember it at the moment.SAHM_TAN:

Wow, up to $300 for children's school bags is a bit overly priced even if they are space techonology ergo. It's not as if kids walk miles and miles to their schools. I think the moment they go up the school bus n reach the classroom, the bags aren't ludged around much.Hi sweetbaby
You can check out Kids2Youth outlets (Parkway/Suntec) - they sell various brands e.g. Dr Kong, Buddy, Totem, Ergobag from $80+ up to $300+.
Or Impact bags (Marina Sq/Woodlands..).. thk their std price is abt $100+ and they come in sizes. -
yes its too expensive for my tastes… but if it works im interested in it as my daughter has a spine condition.

I bought it for my girl several weeks ago. There was a promotion going on that time.
My girl likes it very much; spacious enough for all her stuff; books, snacks and stationery. The different compartments help in the organisation of her things in the bag too. The rain cover is especially useful considering the weather these days. -

I like the http://www.kid2youth.sg/products/details/ergobag-purple ergo school bags. The $300+ bags includes than the bag, which has sports bag, pencil case, pencil set etc. some even got water bottles. Some more they give warranty, which I think is 3 years. So definitely worth it. But you have the option of buying just the bag which should be more affordable.

I think your DD/DS deserves a good bag. Nothing is cheap these days, unless if it's from Alibaba. -
So the price for the SCOOL bag set (etc sports bag) is $300?

sweetbaby, as iLoveChubby mentioned, they have a range from $80. It's best you check with Scool. Their website doesn't have prices but you can always call them. I got the ergobag pink&purple set which was on promotion at $289.
