Wow, interesting and thanks for the tips! Learnt something new today!
You can iron it without steam on. The principle is to toast the bread fast. Don't need to press completely flat on the bread..just slightly press it. The heat will go to aluminium foil and then to the bread...which will toast and turn it crispy and the cheese will melt also....and is suppose to be done in less than 30 seconds.

That is so sad!DH shared with me something he encountered at a Petrol station some time ago:
2 local boys, one about P5 and another about P3, asking for the price of each of the Delifr items, to the eventual impatience of the cashier. Finally, the boys asked for one muffin and left. DH stepped out later to see 3 boys savouring on the single muffin they bought. -
ChiefKiasu:
If truly hungry, the boys should spend their money on something more substantial like a loaf of bread which also costs about the same in value rather than a measly muffin.

Why the trouble of using an iron? Haven't you heard of electric sandwich maker? Works just the same.

This method taught in TV program. I guess you can save money buying a sandwich maker.

You know, make your dollar stretch.[/quote]I did wonder too. The incidence is indeed sad. It was pirate's comment about buying what one can afford, that some goods aren't necessity that this incidence came to mind.
The widening of income gap has made certain food / items a luxury for the low income group. Having that extra amount of money perhaps, to the boys, was a little chance for them to try out something they can't usually afford. After asking the prices of each of the items, they realized they could afford only one muffin.
I don't think we would expect well-dressed boys of the same age who stepped out from their parent's vehicles to do the same thing these 3 boys did. It is something for us mull over, I feel. -
anyone watched this
i like what that uncle say

I have a different take on the incident, actually. The boys may only have that amount of money on them at that moment, and maybe they just wanted a snack? Sometimes, it's just fun to share. If they were really hungry, I think they would have been smart enough to make their money stretch by going somewhere cheaper than a petrol station shop.I did wonder too. The incidence is indeed sad. If it is in the late afternoon (for single session) or evening, the school canteen may be closed. The nearest food source may be the petrol kiosk ( I know at least one primary school fits the bill). The petrol kiosk doesn't sell bread loaves, the muffin may be the cheapest apart from a small bar of chocolate or a small pack of chips.
