Hi jedamum,Thanks amk
Any idea what is the difference between advanced and regular english class? Any entry requirements for advanced class?
As explained above, kids who have good understanding of subject, from various ckasses, are selected by teacher to join the advanced class. I guess it's based on test results in the class. I don't think anything to do with marks from their schools as kids in my dd class are from different schools.
Advance class materials are different from normal class. According to the teacher, they are taught p3 syllabus.
P3 books were issued to my dd. :scared: -

No. It was rejection before enrolment. Thats make my DD sad. Anyway, that's was 5 years ago. We never look back. DD was accepted by Mindstretcher instead. English(HA)-- High Achiever to be exact. She was with the program till P6. I am not sure if JE had made a difference in DD's result had it been enrolled but glad to see that she can still achieve A star in her english in 2012 PSLE.
Hi isetan,
May be ur DD wasn't from JE, hence asked for result from the school.
Anyway, Glad that ur DD did a good job in PSLE. :salute: -

[quote=\"jedamum\"]Any one tried Advanced English? Feedback appreciated. Thanks!
My girl is now in P2 Advanced Class, SK 2 Branch.
Teacher is excellent. One of the best teachers I encountered so far...
U could ask counter staffs. They are very helpful and teacher is quite popular. -
Thanks amk. Will check out my nearest centre soon. Wonder if they will keep class size smaller. Fees same?

Hi, any one know of any good science teacher in sengkang 1 for P3?
-
I went to check out both Just and Mindstretcher at Punggol plaza cos I couldnt decide on which centre to enrol my child to.
Just - uses 30-40% of in-house textbooks plus worksheets. Taught by current teacher (teaching in a school in the east). Whereas for MS, they used only worksheets which seem to be more in-depth. The front counter girl in Just was alot more friendlier in sharing about their centre and material.
Anyone has any views on this 2 centres? -

Hi, I like the worksheets at Just as well. The ambience seems friendly and quite nice (unfortunately cannot comment on Mind as never been there). I had originally intended to put my son in Just for Maths...however he got so comfortable in his current centre and refused to change:)I went to check out both Just and Mindstretcher at Punggol plaza cos I couldnt decide on which centre to enrol my child to.
