Because you need to complete the PV duties by ard mid 2014 to qualify for the p1 registration in aug 2014 for your child to start P1 in 2015. That is why you’ll need to start your PV duties this year so the deadline for your PV registration is reasonable… In fact some schools would hv their deadline in feb already… Hope this helps.

Oh… Btw, some popular schools do require you to do 2 yrs ahead. If that is so, then you’ll not qualify.

So I do this year 2013 as a PV, for 2015 Primary 1, is it correct? But the school stated in bracket born in 2009, only six years old need to go Primary 1. Actually I am confused for what they stated in bracket ‘(born in 2009)’ but yet they put 2015 intake.

Is it child born in 2009 for 2015 intake? Or child born in 2008 for 2015 intake?

08 should be k1 this yr… So they will enter p1 in 2015. There may be some miscommunication somewhere…


It may mean registration is only open for those who are due to register their kids in 2015 for p1(2016)… If that is the case, then the registration for pv for your child, would hv ended last yr, jun 2012.

I’m just guessing… Every school has their own PV scheme…

Some require you to register when your child is only in n2 and start PV as soon as they start k1… And some, you register in the beginning of the yr when they are in k1 and then start PV in the mid of the same year…

Thanks for your clarification.Yes, my son in K1. Last year I also kiasu and enter the school website at the same time but they open for PV only for child born in 2007, so I have been waiting and since January 2013 almost everyday see their website. As I did call and they ask me to check website only.

I wonder why they skip for child born in 2008? Or just a typo error to put in 2009? Or they combine two years together?

I am also thinking of just dropping the idea as PV. But the problem is my place do not have any school within 2km. Shall I just count on luck for the registration in 2014?

Ya, some schools, like rosyth, stopped accepting PV for the last 2 yrs already… I dun know if they are accepting any this yr though…

I am applying for PV for FMPS. After talking to some other parents I have decided for my daughter to try at MGS and RGPS. Do you think I stand any luck in appealing for PV? Arrrgh!!
