Anyone has a child in MFS Yew Tee’s toddler’s class? Any feedback abt d centre or teachers?

MFS now has creative dance for N/K1/K2.. these are besides the science class, arts class(completing soon as their contract with MFS is expiring), abacus.. getting better with their enrichment classes and also they start to use interactive screen to teach (pen to touch screen) .. they incooperated creative corners e.g blcok corner, dramatic corners, reading corners, science corners ( DD is enjoying this the most, e.g the dramatic corners as she will come back and tell me what she is acting daily at the dramatic corner with her classmates) then in march they just did their vision check by MOH. lucky thing DD eye sight is within normal range and they give the health check report to parents in seal envelope.

Is the science class part of the curriculum or enrichment? I am impress with MFS's constant way of improving themselves. Be it academic or enrichments. My DS came from a fairly premium childcare chain and I must say MFS sounds better. Understand that most of the centers is full, except for the new ones. Can I know the student teacher ratio for K1?

the sciece class is enrichment, they engage vendor outside (those approved by MFS) to come in and give additional classes. extra charges to be paid. it’s optional but i usually took it up to enrich my child’s learning journey.

depends on the batch, my DD K1 has 21 students, i was informed 12 to 1 teacher. my DS in playgroup only 13 of them. so each teacher abt 6 students. they usually will get in a helper to assist, my DS playground has 2 teachers and 1 helper (we call her aunty as she helps in general childcare)… which i think is very good. i ask anything to her, whether he poo, whether he eats… why he wet his shirt etc etc…

And also it depends on which branch u go to.

Hi, I did visit the centre once while finding a child care for my girls. I suggest you should speak to the Principal personally.

Sometimes, you can have a sense how the school is run based on the energy of the Principal (not what she says.)

You can visit during 11am, just before their cleaning up time so you can have a sense of how the teachers manage and take care of the children.

IMHO, the drop out rate of preschool teachers are pretty high and there is always temp or replacement teachers. So it is pretty hard to say who is who and their experience level.

Make sure you register first in MFS website then you go scouting...just in case...because the waiting time is very long, maybe at least 1.5 years...
