I am putting him for tution and enrich from mon - wed noon 4-6pm then thurs, fri will be packed for school, sat self study and sun he has cath classes in church, fully packed to the brim. haiz i am now trying not to over stress him at home.Son attended suppl lessons in P5 twice weekly...after each lesson can't even tell me what he did other than worksheets. Last year, Sundays were for completing homework and revising. My son greatly improved for chinese under care of his tutor and school teacher.
The hot weather and stress leading towards PSLE will take a toll on kids if they can't cope. Take care of them and yourselves too. -

Supplementary classes is to finish syllabus early so can start doing exam papers to learn how to answer in an exam smart way. No choice but have to attend supp classes as otherwise will fall behind. If doing enrichment then still continue as enrichment will reinforce school, so less time needed for self-studying and revision by child. However must give free time every day and on weekends. Child must de-stress as do not want child to peak too early

Just relax:

Having just gone through this...I advise parents and kids taking PSLE this year to slowly pick up speed. I reached a stage of breathlessness in Sep and had to pace myself.
The first stress is in Aug with the Orals...after that you can let go a little. We went to enjoy a good ice cream as son had to abstain from ice cream and fried food 3 weeks before the orals. All the best...everyone. -
My DD is currently in P5 - I am trying to plan her revision schedule. But am clueless what is the scope of the examination.
Can anyone help? TIA
For eg, Science (P3 - 6 topics)
What about Math, Chinese and English? -
Mummies,
If your kids have tuition, do let go on your part…burning candle both ends will lead to premature burnt out. Weather is very hot, give kids more liquids like barley water and soupy lunch (bee ta Mak soup or bee noon soup)…helps to digest. -

My P2 boy is burning out too. This morning suddenly cry and tell me that he is worried that he can't do well for his test tmr. I just stopped everything this morning to let him relax. Games and all. We have been revising and all along he is doing well. His results are always in the range of 95 to 100. I'm kinda worried. I can't imagine when he gets to P6. Oh no!Mummies,

Give him a hug and tell him that no matter what the result is, you will always love him. The most important thing is that he had put in his best effort. I remember my son used to cry at home whenever he can't get 100 in lower primary. We told him that as long as he had put in his best effort, we will be happy. He had since adjusted well because it is very hard for him to even got above 90 now

My daughter in P3 hardly scoring 100…after last year’s bad experience with son, we have started her on tuition for English earlier. Cannot take any more risk.
