I heard alot but don’t know if it works.

      Hypocol - Red yeast
      Rolled Oats, not instant oats.

I take my rolled oats plain, just with hot water. (yucky to some, but gotten used to it)

I think celery and bittergourd lowers blood pressure, not sure about cholesterol.

I juice 5 kinds of veg every alternate days.

      1) Green Capsicum
      2) Bittergourd
      3) Celery
      4) Green Marrow
      5) Green apples without skin

I have also been taking oats for about 3 years from Monday to Friday. I take plain oats and just a pinch of sugar. So far, I have not gone for my Cholestrol checkup. Not sure if oats works but I do take seafood during these 3 years. I m a seafood lover hence I have high cholesterol.

I heard celery juice and green tea works for lowering Cholesterol. Not sure how to. Recently started on jogging. I only managed to run like once a week. So my exercise is only 30mins during 1 week. I think too little exercise still.

The following foods are highlighted by the doc (during dh’s health screening) to be good for lowering cholesterol:

            - bittergourd
            - avacado
            - black fungus

Red Yeast Rice. is good for lowering Cholestrol. It’s the stuff you find in Statin, the drug for the same purpose.

You can get red yeast rice wine from Beach Road at a foo chow fish ball noodle shop and also the ‘ang chow’ which is the residue from fermenting the wine I think. They are very delicious when cook with chicken and Ginger. My children loves this recipe.

Try making soup with yacon with pork ribs/chicken.

regarding oats meal, when i started i just refused to drink.yes have to drink cannot eat. I like the oats when it is watery with correct amount of salt. I just drink it. i don’t like to eat as I can’t enjoy. for 10 tables spoons of oats, i add a lot of hot water. Leave it 5-10 minutes.ready to drink. If its thick i add some more hot water and stir it and drink.I started this when i was working.I prefer this food as time constraint. If oats overcooked then cannot eat. I don’t like sweet oats meal.

The blue colour quaker oats better for oats meal. It can’t be very sticky.
