I really don't know what is this tea session all about... I received an email from Mr. Koh, the admin manager on Monday. In the email, it was mentioned that the contract for the school uniform vendor will expire this Jun, and this is one of the topics that will be brought up during the tea session...

And yes, the email states that each level only 24 parents are allowed...

I received the email but I thought the feedback was only for the uniform vendor contract so I ignored it.... not aware the tea session is for any other matters too?...
Anyway kinda last minute, not a good timing for working parents..

Yes lah I totally agree about this last minute arrangement!! I am working too.. hence, I find it neither here nor there now when I still havent receive any confirmation from the school.

Hi, anybody staying in Hougang/SengKeng children going to PC in 2015? I'm looking for car pool of 2-3 children. Objective is to save cost & time as by taking school bus is a waste of time for our children after their long day in school.

Secondly, will PC be single session in 2014? if no, we need to look out for after school care center too?

Please email [email protected] for discussion/planning... :rahrah:

          My location: Hougang Ave 10

I remember reading some notification that PCPS will be single session in 2015....

Thank you for your info. Do you know what's single session timing?

I feel that Pei Chun has been making efforts to improve on communication with parents. Level briefing, PN and newsletter on exam matters shares vital info in advance. Many other schools my friends’ kids go to don’t give such detail info regarding exams until a later date.

Regarding communication between class teachers and parents, as long as teachers inform us of important matters (eg. serious behavioural issues) there is no need to update parents on the day-to-day happenings in class. Where do they find time to prepare lessons if they were to tell parents that they did a quiz or a practice in pairs? I would like the teachers to focus on teaching rather than managing demanding parents.

              Hi mommies,

My son will be going Pei Chun next year. However we are stressed that the school bus (sch bus vendor list found on sch website) does not seem to come to our house at Eunos. Do any mommies with kids in Pei Chun now know abt their school bus system? I heard some schools have pte school bus service. Does Pei Chun have? Any kids who stay in the east like us? TIA!
As far as I know the list is accurate. you can try to call the vendor if any bus vendor do willing to extend to Eunos.
Frankly, transportation is a big prob. I'm at Balestier/Whampoa area, so near to peichun..yet there are only 3 kids in school bus this yr. I'm so worry for my gal who's only going P1 2 yrs later.

Ok I went for the briefing... it was mainly about the school uniforms... only about 20 of us... some parents with more than one kid can share more lah... for me nothing much to contribute.

Yes Mr Koh did mention to us if we have other issues but I found it a bit difficult to go in-depth with the issues I intend to bring up. The P was in the meeting too...we spoke a bit about the school's plans to go single-session.

Totally agree that we should manage our expectations and also understand the workload of teachers... cannot be too demanding. Yes I normally will try to dig out information from my girl..and even if I Find something puzzling, I will email and wait for an answer lor...

But it can be a bit frustrating when I took initiative to ask and yet still get conflicting info!! That's when I wonder what's going on... a recent example would be the attire for CNY celebration...It was a trivial matter yet couldn't be sorted out until the last day.

So did the principal say when will the school go on single session? Before then, is there a need for the shcool to operate from another premise?

                        Hi bridesep,

The P is saying that we will most likely be the last few schools to turn single session… perhaps by 2016. This is because a lot of planning is required and the architects have to submit all proposals for approval from MOE… The way I look at it is it will not be within the next 2 years… However, the P decline to speculate the exact date.

And yes, most likely the kids have to be moved to another premise during the upgrading works… and there is no where suitable in TPY… so it might be outside of TPY…
