        vinegar:
buds, do ur DC complain abt ur cooking?

Nope, they look forward to the daily menu. :please: They would quickly make a guess on what's the spread daily the minute i open the door. They get a kick out of guessin' from how the house smelt.. (cooking aroma).

        We had http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?p=968821#p968821 ๐Ÿ˜„

        vinegar:
I think i hv to learn to ignore their complaints.multi task,yes...but tiring.Sometx, take me 10 to 15min to find parking slot ard their tuition centre.Reach home muz quickly prepare dinner n help in their homework.I've no choice but to hint DH eat faster so he could help out in homework(some math questions r difficult).
I don't ignore complaints. I take them as feedback or how ppl like to put it - positive criticism? ๐Ÿ˜† I had to cook for a family of 7-8 when the ILs were under one roof with us and they were :censored: fussy... and loved to  behind my back. Buds_hubs from the very beginning was supportive of my journey towards my cooking success and would still eat what i served even if it was rubberband noodles. :rotflmao: Yes, he would say... \"Today's noodles... i liked the gravy... mebbe next time you can add more of ________ then it'd be perfect. You can also soften/soak the noodles a lil longer.. i like the noodles softer. Come you try. Eat with me.\" When i asked him again later on if the noodles were actually still rubber band, he'd say, \"Yes.\" ๐Ÿ˜‚ He tries never to be anal abt it or give his critiques while we are eating or when the food is served. It's usually later if i ask again after chores all done and more relaxed, the feedback will be clearer. Reason being, ppl prepare oredi.. take trouble to cook... the wash up... the least is to appreciate what's on the table first. Comments can save for later. Some sort like dowan to hurt your feelings liddat and also because he still has to eat home cooked food for a very looooonnng time. ๐Ÿ˜† Buds_hubs prefers home cooked food. Most times skip lunch but come home early to eat dinner with me and the children.
        vinegar:
My DH is very slow yo...reach home, take his own sweet time to chk his sms,letters...forever don't know how to prioritize...he could do this after kids sleep. But cannot rush him later not happy.
I believe no one likes to be rushed. I personally don't.

Even if i can work fine under pressure. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Mine comes home, first thing will shower hugs and kisses (used to be for the children first, but now me..) and sometimes on good days i get a kiss with a twirl around. :please: If i am still cooking, i'm usually in my shorts and tank top or on super hot days just a bikini top , he'd come home and spank my butt first before a hug and a kiss.

He'd roll around with the babies first if i am finishing up with the cooking and plating. Or if the boys (and/or girls) are napping, both of us have quiet dinner together first. Very sacred time if this happens.

In between he will share about his day and will ask how was mine.. whether the boys behaved.. if the girls have finished homework so we might all be able to catch a movie.. and of course the occasional rants about big bosses and the work.. or the ppl he had to deal with as to which i would let him @$$ #&!* till he got them all out. :stompfeet:  :frustrated: because this kind of thing if don't let out very terok wan.. he's a more relaxed daddy when he can let it all out. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I must think of my kids. ๐Ÿ˜“ ๐Ÿ˜‚

Followed by down time and airing body before shower by catching up on his bola updates on cable... or check on his mails and such. He would also sometimes help me wash the dishes if i were to shower the babies. His reasoning is - we would have more time together if i don't hafta be in the kitchen the whole time he's at home. ๐Ÿ˜„
        vinegar:
i tried to engage private tutor, save traveling time, but no luck.
You should engage a private tutor if you can afford it, given that it seems you are always rushing to do this and that. Give yourself less stress. You are still fortunate that you are driving, can settle marketing and all that faster while your DC in class or in school. Like me today, i lazy to bring the buggy out. So i just strap my dragon_boi in my Baby Bjorn and chubs walk with me while exploring the flowers and plants along the way, the different birds and all... We had brunch together and I had to walk the same way back with 4 or 5 plastic bags full of groceries... stopping occasionally to answer chubs' interesting questions about signs (no littering, no playing football and all that).. or chase the mynah birds and sing the rest of the way back home. By the time i put down the stuff, can see many red lines from the bags on my lower arm and around my hand. We have contemplated on having a car since i was working... till now 4 children... and no longer can afford... so no need to think oredi. ๐Ÿ˜‰

janet_lee88, you can also go pak tor every Sunday. Just do your supermarket visit on a weekday or even after the kids finish tuition.. or if you dislike bringing your children along getting the groceries.. can buy double portion of what you normally buy on a Sunday, so that the following Sunday is free for couple time.

Can be a Canele tea break for you and hubby and this time he pays. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Or a good movie to laugh your pants off.. or even better send the kids for tuition and you two just :censored: pants off oso can.. :rotflmao:

SAHMs must remember to make time for couple time after all the other time hawking over the kiddies. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Don't let them (the kids) take over your life. Your life is yours to live and if you spend too long building upon the lives of your children, you may forget how to live yours or have trouble adjusting back once the children are ready to lead their own lives.

:snuggles: red lines on ur hands..sayang...I've it all the times...haha...even i drive,if the carpark is distance away fr. market,hv to walk.I've trolley but find it troublesome to move it ard in the crowded market.

I've been looking for private tutor for many months, but no luck.Coz the timing cannot compromise. Some refuse to come coz my place is quite remote.

I always like to pak tor wf DH,in the past.Situation change drastically when DH no longer collect dinner fr. inlaw home.I am the one initiated the cooking coz cannot stand seeing DH under pressure fr MIL each time he goes back to collect dinner.I thought i could eliminate stress fr MIL but end up she calls more often till we can't hv peaceful lunch or tea break outside.

I did not start out as being even close to an average cook, because i was lazy. Generally a lazy teen. Mumsie however delegated the chores nevertheless and what seemed like a sickening routine became a regular chore and after awhile it didn't even matter for over time it became a habit... in this case a good one. ๐Ÿ˜„ Instilling the responsibility in our children towards managing the household is good practice. I have benefitted from the fruits of my labour now that the children are older. Even my little chubs can contribute his little share of the work. :please:

You can PM me where you stay and what levels/subjects you need? I see if the ones i inquired can go over to your place. However, you must know that good tutors who are willing to travel won't come cheap. But if you think of it, apart from saving travelling time, parking, petrol, hassle and what nots... it may be worth considering.

I truly empathize with your situation, vinegar. I truly want you to find it in yourself to find a better quality of life. For yourself. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php

                You must start somewhere.

Agree wf u. I think SAHM muz always remind themselves....But now i feel a bit funny to do shopping by myself.Coz i keep thinking of DH n kiddo, even i am out alone.I always try to think back how could i be so carefree n nvr think of them when i was FTWM.

I think i confirm is Super Aunty liao, coz i no longer admire nice clothing, watches or jewellery.I no longer interested in watching fashion show. Now my fav show is starhub 432,433,435,i mean those cooking or traveling programmes.DH n me enjoy staying at home so much.

                    Vinegar,

It's not RA at all. Broad day light. My DH actually likes  we both not the shy type so it doesn't really matter if day or night

Have some time for yourself. You need to have time where you think about your own stuff. Pick up new hobbies. Take care of yourself. I always can't wait to have extended personal time which only happens on Tuesdays.

Yes, this is very true...we have to learn to live life before kids grow up and we lose that touch as couple. When kids arrive, they demand so much attention that it's easy to forget each other.

I like to stay at home now...aimless walking in shopping centers can be boring. But sometimes, just have to force myself to get out of the 4 walls. Once I succeed doing that, it can be enjoyable letting go.
However, I go out when I do not menses, at least not the first 2 days...the backache and cramps spoil the mood.
