Hi
I am curious to read in other thread that some parents are doing PV in 2 schools. How does this work? I thought we can enroll at one school at a time? How does this pV in the second school help?
I am trying the grassroot way and hopefully hubby can volunteer at a different school. But I am confused how does the registration procedure work? Thanks for yr help! -

For P1 registration, yes, at any one time, you are allowed to register ONLY with one school.
For PV, applications are evaluated by schools. As long as your time permits, you can apply to as many schools as you want. Whether the schools evaluate your PV application favourably or not is another matter. -
Thanks qms for the reply. So if I managed to volunteer at 2 different schools. Let’s say Ai Tong and Catholic High. When time comes for P1 registration, I can only register at one school, let’s say Ai Tong, under 2B, yes? If I am unsuccessful, can I then go to Catholic High and be under 2B or 2C since I also volunteered at CH?

Sher_yeo,
No you can only register with one school under P2B. If unsuccessful, you can apply under P2C at the other school.
But I think you must check whether you are eligible to apply with the other school for P2C (eg. within 1km etc). -

If Sher_yeo is unsuccessful with School A in P2B, she can still choose to apply School A in P2C. Just that she will face stiffer competition in the later phase.Sher_yeo,

In fact, for the two schools that she mentioned, balloting took place only for those staying within 1 km at both P2B and P2C. -
Anyone knows usually how many pv applications will St. Andrews junior & St. Gabriel’s Pri received per intake? & how many will these schools shortlisted?
I want to know do I need to try more schools for pv…
