Are the boys’ results recorded in a report book? When will we receive it - after every CA, mid year and year of year exams?

How often are the parent teacher meetings? I understand we have to book appointment with each subject teacher?

              Hi,

I’m a super kiasu parent: I have three young boys who are not even in pri sch but I have set my sights on RI for them.

I would like to know: What are the niche CCAs in RI? I would like my boys to take up the sport/club that RI emphasizes on so that they will have a higher chance of admission thru DSA.

              Super kiasu, rite?
              😉

                    Just to share:

This morning as I was dropping DS for his CCA to the Rajah block (as has been for the past few days and every morning), drove to Barrier 15 (straight all the way, after the guard post and the right turn to Popular), the barrier never open.

Tried calling the number stated at the barrier. After a while a guard approached, and the conversation as below:

Guard (G): Where are you going, sir?
                    Me (M): Dropping my son

G: Are you meeting the teacher?
                    M: No… just dropping off

G: as today is ‘public holiday’, the barrier is not operating.
M: Thought I’ve been dropping my son for the past few days this week, and the barrier is operating?

G: Err… the drop off point is at the side (pointing to popular area). Your son can drop off here and walk in.

So no choice, asked my son to drop there and I did a three point turn back.
Should inform earlier that during school holiday, can only drop off at Popular area (differ from normal school day).
Normal school day, I will drop DS off in Rajah Block before exiting from the assigned gate/barrier.

Just to clarify whether the barrier is not in operation during school holiday? And during school holiday, can only drop off in the popular area (Yr 5-6)? and not at Rajah Block (Yr 1-4)?

Can’t find any announcement in Stamford about this, as I remember the official drop off point is either Rajah Block (Yr1-4) or Popular (Yr5-6).
So during holiday, no access to the Rajah Block / General Office, unless meeting teachers?

                    Sorry… a bit confuse here…

How old is your eldest boy? Your children are all below 7 years old and you have already decided which SECONDARY school they should join.. Won't you be putting a lot of pressure on your kids (& yourself) in the years ahead?

Btw.. Have you chosen their PRIMARY school har?? :siam:

If this bothers you so much, perhaps you can email the Principal, Mrs Lim, for clarification.. She may be able to clear your doubts and set your mind at ease..

For me, it's not an issue at all.. I will drop my DS wherever convenient & available and let him walk in by himself.. It's not that long a walk anyway.. 😄
