Thinking of getting auto vacuum cleaner. Appreciate updates on the lifespan of these helpers. Many thanks in advance.

The Robotic Cleaners should last a good 3-5 years, replacements of batteries should be done very 1.5-2 years and filters and brushes need to be change every 3 months or so, depending on usage.
The Iclebo Arte ($749) is a model you can consider. The iRobot Roomba is probably the most durable model and in most cases would last many years, even if there is any damaged or faulty parts, you can always just replace the faulty part at a low cost and it would be as good as new!! 🙂

I think my irobot is one of the best investments I have made, in terms of household appliances and their respective prices. While I still ‘manual clean’ the floor (either magic clean tissue wipe or normal vacuum cleaner), I think irobot saves me a lot of time and effort. The only thing I miss is probably the hot and sweaty work out after a thorough clean session.

Recently I inherited a handheld vacuum (those normally used in car) from my parents. It comes with some additional parts like tubes and can all fit up into a ‘normal vacuum cleaner’ (with a shaft and brush at the end). Hey, not bad leh. It’s lighter and smaller, no wire! So it is very mobile. But I feel the lack of power. You need to ‘run’ a few times over the same spot to be effective. But over all, it complements my cleaning routine well.

Hi, I have faithfully reading the thread fr 1- 26 as I am keen to get one. It seems a no of users go for IRobot which helps to narrow down my brand selection. I will go for Irobot Roomba though still unsure which model to opt for.

Any recommended source and model that I can rely from you, parents. Tks. No agents pls.

                puff:

Iclebo is indeed smarter than Irobot. It has mapping navigation function and can easily find it's way to the base in a few seconds without bumping onto any furniture.

After using Irobot for 3 yrs and Iclebo for half a day this is wat I think :
                1. Vacuum- Iclebo is slightly quieter than Roomba 530
-Iclebo take shorter time to clean my room as it's more
                systematic in it's navigation
-Iclebo dun bump onto furniture or doors
-Roomba has a virtual wall which make it easier to partition a room that u wanna to vacuum especially for house that have open concept kitchen

2.Handling- prefer Roomba coz it has a handle on top so turning the machine over its easy

3.Maintance- Irobot needs to go for servicing every half a year ( cost $50+ per trip when warranty expire)
                - according to Iclebo salesman no servicing is required as the machine is air tight so dirt will not be trap at the motor.

                4. Cost - Irobot is cheaper

Additional plus point for Iclebo is the on site warranty and the mopping function ( not comparable with scooba )
The mopping is more suitable for my house as my room flooring are parquet
n dun think can use scooba as water get in the gap. I have a crawling baby so Iclebo mopping just serve as a dettol wipe . :imanangel:
Btw there is a 5%discount if recommend 3 ppl to buy n additional 5%more if can get 10 ppl ( all the ppl in the gp will get the discount)I already got my 4 ppl in my gp can pm me if u need the discount

can still join the discount ?

Hi, I believe you have been using the Iclebo for quite a while already. Would you still recommened Iclebo over the other brands? Need your comments. :thankyou:

I have the iClebo Arte to let go because underutilised due to change of house cleaning habit. Set comes with extra accessories and used less than 4 months only. PM me if interested for more details.

Hi I think you can enquiry the product from this guy Edward at 96394715. His service quiet good. Previously did let him repair my sister's i-robot set. My sis bought it from someone which direct import but did not service the set. Thus someone recommend Edward to me and let him repair.
