My DH always tells me to spend on the needs not the wants. As if he even follows his own advice

He doesn't question me if I spend on good food.

Use sparingly…I will remind him not to whip out card when he goes to Challenger…yes, I know he earns the money but the way he buys stuff from IT fair is ridiculous…they are not needs…maybe more like the need to buy to satisfy himself like some kid.


My clothes are not ex…most recent buy is a polo top from Uniqlo. Have been eyeing it but held back bcos it costs $35. Last week, it costs $29. He is not into food…but mention either mobile phone or tablet, his eyes will open wide.

My sediments exactly. What he wants for some reason always becomes a need. My wants remain as wants, even if I buy with my own money :rant:

11 years is long time. Wow!

In the 11 years, didn't your eyesight change? What did you do?

Btw, night vision... Isn't the remedy taking more Vitamin A...

Been taking more carrots, tomatoes, wolf berries, etc ... Trying to slow down deterioration of eyesight.

I was thinking after sooo many years, the LASIK surgeons should have perfected their skills, plus i'm starting to feel lazy and vain.... That's why finally exploring possibility of LASIK.

LASIK depends a lot on individual eyes, the degree of shortsightness, the shape of the eyeballs, and different techniques are used to correct the shortsightness.
My LASIK was done 6 yrs ago, and it was 6/6 for me n until now.
Lasik did help me a lot as my degree was high, around 7xx per eye. but when i am at the lasik centre, they told me 1xxx is consider high, mine is still not that bad. :rahrah:
at 7xx shortsightness, i was basically 'blind' if i remove my glasses.
Now, I can still read the letters when my kids went for their eyes check. But my astigmatism was not fully cured, so during night time, if I am driving, it get a bit blur due to the lack of light. Other than that, I have no complains.

When i was in late 20s,i got a cut at cornea(due to contact lens) which nearly made me blind.It started with dry n irritation,i went to GP n he just gave me some eyedrops.Then it got worsen.I went to see another GP,he immediately asked me to go A&E.

It was PAINFUL when i put antibiotic eyedrops. After recovery, i decided to go for lasik.

glad i went for it.Feel good to hv perfect eyesight. I remember i was guinea pig for waveform lasik so hv discount on surgery.
