I know Bali is a romantic place for couples, however, I am planning to bring my son and wife to Bali this coming June holidays to travel as a family together. I was wondering if anybody here can recommend any family-friendly places in Bali instead of those spa and romantic restaurants as my son might not enjoy it. Also, I'm looking for recommendations to deals and offers to Bali. I heard DBS is having some game where tickets to Bali is being given out. Anybody heard or know how to participate?

You can go to Waterbom, which is a water park. Also, there are many water activities such as banana boat, sea walker (walk on the seabed), fly fish, rafting, snorkeling, parasailing, jet ski, etc. You will have fun! :boogie:

My dd is 9 years old now. 3 years ago I had brought her to watch Barong & Kris Dance and Kecak & Fire Dance, Tanah Lot, silver factory, rice terrace, Ubud shopping, Luwak-Coffee plantation, lunch at Kintamani overseeing the active volcano Mount Batur and a lake, sunset dinner at Jimbaran beach, etc. This time I would say she likes the pools in the villa, the Seminyak beach, daily body massage and the gelato at Ubud.
I wanted to go for Snorkeling + glass bottom boat + turtle island but my friends prefer shopping. My dd asked for Elephant Safari which rejected as we had many elephant rides in Thailand. She saw the white water rafting from a brochure and requested us to go. I am no no :nailbite:

I stayed at in a villa in Ubud (villa Palm kuning). That area whole sketch is private villa with pool. These villas are owned by private owners and all are licensed and managed by this guy called Steve, an angmo who lived in Ubud.

I only booked for 2 nites but i regretted, should have booked for 3 nites. Really enjoyed staying there. I paid only approx SGD92 per nite for the villa - 2 bedrooms with private pools.

I stayed at Kuta. Nice place, many attractions, but I would not bring my kids there. Too many drunk people, people were selling Viagra and forbiden things on the streets to anyone. I don’t think it is a very safe place for youg children.

Stay at Nusa Dua area is more suitable if you have young children.

It's Nusa Dua too for me when I go with kids. If it is just hubby and I, I like ubud. I never liked Kuta.

Jimbaran is also nice. I find that Nusa Dua is very expensive. The price you pay for food is equivalent to Sg prices.
