Sorry ladies, busy with mahjong yesterday.

Got it online from Gmarket, now known as Qoo10.

Buds, go search that site, they have cheaper ones and those that make hello kitty shaped waffles but may not be electric, those are mostly over the stove waffle irons. I chose this cos I find the price reasonable and the review was good. I believe if you search around or go hunting aroung in courts or best denki, you might find cheaper waffle makers. I am just too lazy to physically hunt so do my hunting online and pay for delivery.

Hi Funz. What brand is your waffle maker? Do you use a waffle mix or mix up one from scratch?

                    Yup, that’s the one.

I mix the batter from scratch. The one in the pic posted here is using plain flour. I would prefer making whole grains ones but ran out of whole wheat at home since I have not been making much bread lately.

                    1 3/4 cup flour
                    1 tbsp baking powder
                    1 tbsp sugar
                    1/2 a salted butter melted
1 1/2 cup low fat milk
                    3 eggs

                    Whisk the dry ingredients together.
beat the eggs add the milk and the cooled melted butter, mix well
add the liquid to the dry ingredient and whisk lightly to mix.
Let the batter rest while you heat up the waffle maker
once the waffle maker is ready ladle the batter onto the waffle pan, make sure to cover the top or you will get holey waffles like my first attempt.
This recipe makes about 3 waffles using that machine.

Thanks buds. I think a good waffles batter recipe is as impt as the waffle maker. I like the ones at gelare. πŸ™‚
