Thanks for all the tips in this forum. I've also booked my air tickets and accommodation already. But have opted for an apartment instead because of the size of my family. Not so difficult to plan for free and easy afterall! Just hope it will also be easy when I'm there. It will be during autumn!
Zeemimi, which apartment , can share? Is it near subway n food.
I intend to go mid dec this yr.

As we have more people, it is either an apartment or at least 2 rooms at the hotel. The costs worked out to be about the same.
The location and surroundings is found here http://www.vabiensuite.com/ENG/DC/?M=C1a -

We were there last autumn, nice & cool
So fast book air tickets? Which airline? Some airlines have promo every now and then. Ya its easy to plan free & easy as u decide your own itinerary, just need to do some homework/ research. Dont worry its actually quite easy to move around in seoul, most of the touristy places can be reach by subway. U can always ask for help when in need, koreans are very nice & helpful, at least the ones I met.
they don't call us kiasuparents for nothing right?
I booked with SQ. After flying to Europe last time, midnight flights are out, if possible. Could hardly sleep in the plane. And with just ~6 hours to Seoul, i reckon a day flight would be better for the whole family. -
Thks mummies for apt info

Mummychia, how is surrounding around Metro Hotel? Any reasonably price food eatery or its all restaurant, nearby to bread shop? - my 4 yo loves to eat nice roti

Metro is in myeongdong so lots of shopping & food
There's many restaurants & eateries so u have lots of choices ranging from cheap to expensive ones. Infact there's a food court just opp metro but I didn't have a chance to go. But i heard the food court across the road at Lotte plaza is nicer. There's a Paris baguette very near metro too & also another bakery shop in the underground malls at the subway. So don't have to worry about food. We also loves bread especially those bakeries in department stores like shinsaegae & Lotte. U can actually ask for sample to try 1st before buying & they are very generous with samples

Mummy chia, so how long can metro hotel hold the reservation? What if chg date n is credit card charged upon bookings? I MSG them, but they did not inform me all these, just ask me to book over their hotel site.

They will hold the reservation for you once its confirmed. They wont charged your credit card, but should you need to cancel, have to inform them at least 3 days prior to arrival but they usually will call u to reconfirm 3 days prior to arrival. They really bother to call from korea.
