      JRLam,

      Why nvr rope in our ex-PH/current-RGS parent for additional support?
      Hahaha, I am sure she will, once she gets the time to clear her inbox πŸ™‚

        1. My elder boy does not all boy's school- too rowdy
        2. My elder boy does not like long distance travelling - waste time
        3. My elder boy has a weak body constitution (then, of course)
        4. We thought NJC no need to study Higher Chinese
        5. I rather he be a big fish in a small pond
        6. I was from NJC
        7. I did not like the other 2 schools :rotflmao:

        I like pt 4 & 6. Keke.

        He's one of the few who can go RI but prefer not to.

        Seriously, RI is not the only school that can produce students with good academic results.

        My elder boy still can sleep by 9.30pm if he does not do leisure reading.

        I sometimes take the public bus before the school reporting hours to Empress Place Market - seen enough Nanyang and HC students sleeping on the bus.

        Good health = alert mind = good performance in school[/quote]HELLO!!!

        I can't help but felt like sharing too. I have another \"factor\" that I will put in. The school that she will go to will also have a deciding factor on the boys she mixed with at the JC level and could possibly determine her future husband! Therefore, we have to consider very, very carefully. Haha. To me, very important factor cos I have only girls and when puberty and sorts kick in, woah....out of control. πŸ˜‰

        There are more IP schools options now.

            Hi dyh,

            Personally, I prefer co-ed. However, not many IP schools are Co-ed from sec 1-4. Thus, it's important that she ended up in the right fit, not just follow suit. Hehe.

            MGS girls + ACS boys
            NYGH girls +HCI boys
            RGS girls +RI boys

            The rest too far to consider. I am treading on dangerous grounds here so I shall not elaborate on the boys turned husbands from the above schools in case I offend anyone. Hehe. Anyway, it's just my very personal opinions. Food for thought for those with girls. πŸ˜‰

              What, PH boys not shortlisted? :sad:

              What about giving bonus pts (for ur dd's consideration) to the following combinations? πŸ˜‰

              PH boys => ACS boys
              PH boys => HCI boys
              PH boys => RI boys

                Hi E3,

                Interesting points. I've girls only too. I was telling my elder gal that she may want to find a guy (in future) who is a hands-on dad & can take care of their kids. Keke. Does that fall under any of the schools you listed? πŸ™‚

                  St. Joseph’s (SJI) boys as they are trained to be humble, to have compassion and to be hands-on. My elder boy has become a lot more independent since he started secondary school there.

                  Maybe I’m biased, I always feel good whenever I’m in the school compound as I like what I see there.

                        Agree. Together with Victoria sch, SJI has the reputation of grooming boys into fine young gentlemen. It's a fantastic sch, and not easy to get in. Mabbe E3 can also consider. Hehe.
