For electrical appliances choose brands that are made in Europe or Japan rather than one that is made in China. This is because for the quality and durability. For electrical appliance, one cannot choose base on cheap prices, else one need to change a few times due to poor quality. In the end, one is paying a higher price to replace the easily spoiled one with a new one.

i’ve been looking for big 3 doors fridge. I prefer wider than deeper one…coz it is easier to look for things inside n store the big pots.

I saw Panasonic, which has big compartment for vegetable n freezer but the normal fridge storage one,is too small. Then the Samsung one,the soft freezing compartment too small.

Please do not forget about Hitachi fridge and electrical appliances too.

Most of my electrical appliances is from panasonic or hitachi. 😃

I want to highlight them because I feel that these good brands is losing market to those cheaper brands. I feel that in most cases the cheaper brands products are not as durable due to lower quality materials used…end up you will still need to pay more in replacements.

Wanted to support those brands who upkeep their quality and keeping their price reasonable. just worried if more people neglect them, then they will turn to lower quality and it will be more difficult to find good quality stuffs in the future…

so do check out Hitachi and panasonic…by the way my friend samsung fridge broke down after 2 years.

above information is just to share 😃

I have a Fisher and Paykel. After 4 years, motor not as quiet as before, can hear it hum a little especially at night. Mine has a matte silver finish. I rubbed the surface of the door once and the protective coating came off. Door also dents easily. As it’s a single door fridge, the plastic shelves are wider but I wish they were thicker and more sturdy too. Design wise, I like the freezer drawer at the bottom - so much easier to search for frozen stuff.

A relative has a Hitachi 2 door side by side. Nice design. I think the fridge feels more sturdy than mine - shelves thicker than my F&P model. Had some problems with the ice and water dispenser - dispenser was eventually replaced by Hitachi.

Mine is Mitsubishi folio, used for 5yrs…recently discover lots of condensation. All the newspaper which i use to wrap the vegetables turn wet after 1day.

my freezer is also at the bottom,i dislike it coz hv to squat down to look for frozen stuff.I’ve back problem…

But if feezer on top,i oso hv problem, coz i am only 160cm.

160cm quite tall, ah! I’m just slightly taller than you…

Compared to searching for stuff in top freezer, I prefer my F&P bottom freezer. There’s different drawers so can organise what to put where, then don’t need to search through so much. Also drawer design means can pull out and see, reduce need to take everything out just to find something.

Have you considered a 2 door side by side fridge? Freezer on 1 side and fridge on other side. Put the things you use less often on top and bottom shelves. However, need to consider whether can fully open the doors and take out the shelf to clean. I can’t have a side by side cos there’s a wall on one side of my refrigerator - one door will not be able to fully swing open, won’t be able to remove or adjust shelves on that side.

                      how big is f&p chiller?

my kitchen is very small, cannot put 2 dr side by side too. I prefer 3 doors coz hv bigger storage space, compared to side by side one,coz its bigger space for me to put the whole pot of soup or curry into the fridge

My chiller is reasonably big cos it’s 1 door f&p refrigerator with 1 lower door for freezer drawer. No issue with big pots but have to put on lowest shelf if too heavy. My issue is with the shelves - could be thicker - tend to sag cos too heavy if too many bottles or stuff on shelf. Honestly, this fridge feels flimsy compared to my previous Whirlpool fridge, so I don’t quite like it.
