      how big is f&p chiller?

my kitchen is very small, cannot put 2 dr side by side too. I prefer 3 doors coz hv bigger storage space, compared to side by side one,coz its bigger space for me to put the whole pot of soup or curry into the fridge

My chiller is reasonably big cos it’s 1 door f&p refrigerator with 1 lower door for freezer drawer. No issue with big pots but have to put on lowest shelf if too heavy. My issue is with the shelves - could be thicker - tend to sag cos too heavy if too many bottles or stuff on shelf. Honestly, this fridge feels flimsy compared to my previous Whirlpool fridge, so I don’t quite like it.

My whirlpool fridge lasted about 9 years… Quite average at that time, when fridges could last longer. Wonder what’s the average lifespan of a fridge now?

Didn’t quite like it - Motor became quite loud after 3rd year or so. But no other problems till motor died. Loved the thick sturdy shelves, trays and holders - kept some of them, recycled for different use and they are still in good condition.

Just a question here: does your fridge have this problem of frost/ice building up in the freezer compartment?

My LG had this problem, with ice covering the light compartment, plus some of the vents where cold air comes out. The underneath of each tray (which is the ceiling of the compartment just below) are like limestone caves, with the ice forming stalactites…

I called the technician in and he unscrewed the plastic partition wall to expose the motor, and i was astonished to see that it was covered by massive ice. The tech used a mallet knock on a large screwdriver to break up the ice to smaller pieces to dislodge them… Had to wipe them dry later before restarting the power else ice could form again…

In any case, do not open the freezer for too long period, else this will happen. The tech also advised not to block the air vents completely as that might trap all the cold air in the motor area…

Looking for fridge and need recommendation.

                Mitsubishi seems expensive
                hitachi is more affordable
                panasonic technology seems good

currently we are using LG for 11 years and the ice dispenser is spoilt.
Mum friend recommend NR-F555 panasonic but fridge is above which is not easily accessible for children.

Hubby suggested getting 2 door so kids can access fridge easily.

                what yr opinion.
