Tuition / Enrichment at Secondary level
-
For compre skill, maybe 1 to 1 will be a better idea as tutor will have more time to focus on her problem areas. And to coach her on the way to present her answer. In a group tuition, tutor might not have the time to look through all her answers and thus unable to explain to her why her answers are not accurate/incorrect.

Is it necessary to have any tuition and/or enrichment? My boy is currently Sec 1. He seems to be very free, I am very worried of his work

If he has been doing relatively well so far then there should be nothing to worry about. (Granted there has only been a CA1 test to base this on. The mid-terms, taken together with other class tests/quizzes should give a better indication of how he is doing.)
Workload for classwork typically only pick up later in the year and in his upper secondary years so it will not be uncommon for some free time. If he is doing well then that is definitely a good sign because he’s got more to spare if things start to get more difficult. -
Hi,
Am urgently looking for Eng coaching for my sec 3 boy. Got B3 last yr, but failed this CA1. I believe he needs pointers in exam skills.

Still searching for either good Secondary private tutor, or a reputable tution center that have good teachers teaching SEC SCIENCE. Staying around Buangkok area, so Pungoal/Sengkang/Hougang/AMK area is fine.
Pls PMs me. Thanks in advance. -

I know an experienced tutor who teaches chinese. She teaches Pre-school to Secondary school students. She has been teaching for about 21 years. 13 years in mainland china and 8 in Singapore. She is patient and loves children. After my children was taught by her, they were able to attain A1 for their express chinese O paper and A stars for their PSLE chinese paper. As of what I know, many of her other students have done well for their chinese under her. She also has experience in teaching at tuition centres in Singapore If you are interested, please pm me.
Can pm me the tutor's no. ? thanks. -

Hi!PrissyNippy:
Any body has good secondary 1 maths tutor to recommend? Tks in advance!
my son's tutor helped him to get from E to A in a very short period of time. I would recommend her. However, she will only teach if the parents works together with her. She's very strict but my son loves and respects her a lot. She's a honors NTU bio science grad and current teaching in a top school and will teach Secondary Maths and chemistry. If you r staying in Punggol, SengKang or not too far off, pm me and i will pass on her contact.
Can pm me?
TIA!
Can pm me ? Thanks.
