Just back from my Taiwan trip with 2 kids weather was great!

Yanyan, you can do many activities in Flying Cow. Feeding of lambs, baby cows, ducks. And milking of cows. Got DIY activities too. Personally felt that while the farm is not very big the activities are well managed. Nice rooms too. Glad I planned it in our trip! Btw our stay comes with 1 free DiY activity the rest you have to pay. Activities includes baking, painting, making of ice cream. Simple but great for families with young kids.

Hi sg.angel,

Yilan, you can consider to stay at Toucheng Farm for their 3D2N camp or 2D1N camp. Personally felt the stay at Toucheng is a different experience for the kids. They have DIY activities like, cookie baking, bamboo craft and T-shirt printing. Simple activities, but great for family. Back to the nature.

I was told by the local to try the Whale seeing tour from the 烏石港 at Yilan but we do not have enough time for that.

Thanks. Which is better, flying cow or toucheng farm?


Does this toucheng farm have the chance to milk the cow?

Would like my child to try these activities.

Toucheng don't have milking cow when I went, if that's the case, I guess you have to try Flying Cow. Toucheng is at Yilan whereas Flying Cow is at Miaoli.

im going flying cow too…hopefully not raining… besides taxi(super ex) & train(super long, like 6 -7 hours)… what’s other alternative to go from flying cow to hualian?.. u thk take train to tai chung… then take taxi to hualian is cheaper?

Baby Boss needs a FULL day. From opening to close, on a busy day our kids only managed 7 jobs. My friend's son did 11 jobs on a non busy day. Try not to go on a Monday. It can be quite busy especially if the previous Sat is a Sport Day, school will close on the following Monday. Then you will probably see 1/2 of Taipei kids in Baby Boss!

Jiufen is nice for little shops shoppings and try some local products. I have been to Jiufen 3X and enjoyed it every time. if you have no driver, when you reach the station, there are plenty of taxi drivers. You can then negotiate the fare depend on where you want to go.

There is nothing much at the waterfall but it is usually included in the trip and is a 10 min stay.
