          Cooking the butter rice today. I'm baking chicken breast but still using the spices you recommended. πŸ˜„

          I could smell the fragrance of the rice the moment I open the package.

          Hi SAHM_TAN, hubs suggested to me to try out chicken next. πŸ˜‰ If you're using fillet ones shouldn't take that much longer than doing up with fish. But if using a while chicken prolly need to use those skews and grill the chicken, left right front and back side. πŸ˜‚ Yes, buds_hubs was saying he wants the same spices in the chicken next time too. Did you manage to get the same brand for the rice or there were other alternatives? Aaahh... wait till you smell the fragrance when it is cooking... :drool:

          I bought another brand, couldn't find that brand in NTUC. There was only 5 kg bag and I had to lug it home along with dd1's bag. Today she has CCAs and I took over her bag when I passed her lunch. :faint:

          I'm using fillet so will cooking time will be fast heehee

                It’s a success!!! Thanks for sharing this recipe. The chicken is flavoursome, I was a bit worried slapping on so much butter but it’s great.

                  I added mine with fishballs and fried a couple of Japanese Super Crispy Chicken..
                  Yes!yes! this laksa is delicious.I tried the curry chicken,not so nice.

                  i added in some Mee Pok & shredded chicken breast & hard boiled eggs.

                    I once baked the chicken breast n turned out very hard. Did i over-bake?Do I nid to slice it into smaller pieces??

                      It was not hard. I didn't slice it into smaller pieces. I think I used 160/170 and it was 20mins. Maybe the amt of butter I slapped on top and beneath the meat helped in keeping the meat moist.

                      When I'm baking a whole chicken, I would place the chicken breast side on the baking tray too. This way the fat will travel down to moist the breast meat.

                        Hv you ever put a cube of butter in the chicken cavity for baking? It works wonder.
