I was watching a Korean entertainment programme earlier. One of the participants made potato croc.....(cant remember the spelling). It is mashed potato, used to wrap some cheese/crab meat, then pan fried like a flattened pancake. Anyone done this type before?

Yes yes. The one on the Korean show does not hv the breadcrumbs.

There is a you tiao cum baked beans dish.

        Has anyone eaten this before?

I ate a lot of this during uni days.

Isn't this an odd combination? It's like you tiao in tomato sauce? :scratchhead:

šŸ˜‚ during that time, I ate this dish 5 days a week. The you tiao is crunchy and I love baked beans too.

Is this smoked pork shoulder only available in Giant? Compared to the luncheon meat, which one is more salty? Price?

Please share what dishes you cooked with this smoked pork :please:
Donch know...just saw this whole block in vacuum pack some month back and have been buying it since! I just use it as a replacement for sliced ham/bacon and luncheon meat...

Is it 金华ē«č…æ? 金华ē«č…æ is used for making the superior soup base for 佛跳墙 or shark's fin soup.

We found 金华ē«č…æ in Switerland supermkt. Quite cheap but the use by date is very short. We did not buy any back.
