I am not sure if other parents experience the same thing about the teachers. My son have a few teachers for a few subjects. For Maths, he has about 3 teachers in a year. For Geog, he has about 5 teachers in a year. Other subjects also changes teachers quite often. The teacher either go on course or on leave. Some temporary teachers cannot even last for 3 months. It was quite a experience for my son. Some changes is due to different areas in the subject eg. Science. Some of the teachers are temps and not confirmed staff.
You should write to the headmaster to let her know your concerns. I think this warrants some attention. Or perhaps talk to the Year head. -
Reading kiasusonโs post makes me wonder how can the school justify the steep fees. A case of wasting taxpayers money?

from tao nan. he's very goody two shoes. guai guai de...except when he's gaming. how abt yrs?
woh . . .your boy is so lucky, only 18 classmates.
But I thought Tao Nan is a mixed school ???
My boy is from Nan Hua.
He has 29 other classmates when he is in the TWINNING class, attending lessons for Higher Chinese, Social Studies, P.E. and Music (main stream mix with GEP) and 21 classmates when he is in the Pure GEP class, that is studying English , Maths and Science - confusing right? -

My son thought it was not a major concern and he is doing alright. But I personally thinks it is a bit of problematic to change teacher so often. I just want to check if it is a norm in RI or other schools.kiasuson:

I used to have such wonderful opinions of all IP schools since they're taking in the cream of the nation plus all their huge fees that they charged. First, I heard about DHS, then RI and now RGS. :yikes:mathsparks:

Hope my son doesn't peek into this thread. It'll scare him before school starts.

Tao Nan is a mixed school. His class of 18 has 4 girls only. But for Art, PE and music, lessons are done with some mainstreamers, but I'm not sure how big's the class then.mathsparks:

Strange that in Nan Hua, SS is conducted with the mainstreamers. I thought the GEPers SS is a much tougher program? -

You can start from here and go a couple of pages forward. It was a hot topic last year. But Stomp has already removed the entire topic.
