So is tops the indoor detergent? I remember years back, there is one brand which markets itself (or that particular variant) as the detergent for clothes to be dried indoor.

Yes, I think it is TOP.
Switched back to Persil bcos of low suds. I put one cup of Kao wide bleach with Persil to wash. Wide bleach is for colored and white clothes. Am I advertising?

TOP has low suds too, I think it's the purple packaging one
I'm using both TOP and persil, depending on which one having promo
No difference to me.

I never hang laundry outside the house. Air indoor only.
Oh, and same detergent for white & coloured clothings.
Also no difference to me.
Yup. The TOP detergent for low suds is the purple package for coloured clothes. Today, I saw a light blue TOP packaging, also low suds AND anti-bacterial, but didn't specifically mention whether for white or coloured clothes.

The TOP liquid detergent I use for my whites, is in a red bottle. For front and top load washers. I think it has a better scent compared to purple package.

Definitely good for indoor drying in my case, I very rarely have that damp smell from my clothes.

I have a phobia holding heavy bamboo putting clothes out to dry.

Since grilles are locked, I always dry clothes inside...morning sun is so direct and hot. Tonight I am using just the Kao perfume liquid wash.
I also have that phobia. Also have phobia that maid will fall.... Grilles always locked. All clothes are dried indoors.

LG :imcool:

Your laundry bag get entangled? I do not have this problem leh.

What do you put in your laundry bag? How full is it?

Previously I used laundry bags for all clothes. Didn't like the way clothes got stretched during a higher rpm spin. To get the wash balanced, used at least 6 bags in each wash. Sometimes, the big bag will contain just 2 or 3 pieces of clothing.

Quite happy that i can adjust the spin rpm speed with LG, so I use a lower rpm of 800. Still put undergarments and t-shirts in laundry bags. Seems ok, so far. :xedfingers:

I do not put all the clothes in the laundry bag. Only selective clothings, n 2 pieces in a laundry bag.
I understand. Thanks! I noticed my laundry bags don't get entangled if there are other clothes which are not in laundry bags.

Which program do you use?

I quite like the \"mix\" program - it takes an hour plus. But just noticed from manual that max load is 4 kg - that is only 1/2 load. :scratchhead:

Noticed from manual, that intensive program's max load is also 4 kg - that is 1/2 load. Am I interpreting it correctly? Think I need to clarify with service centre.

Nah… I don’t weigh clothes also. Anyway, for LG washer, the 4 or 8 kg weight is based on weight of wet clothes. All based on estimation.

This is what LG technician mentioned - usually put clothes to 1/2 drum full or slightly more as a rough gauge for 4 kg weight of wet clothes. If put in too many clothes for particular program, ie overload, clothes might not be clean or might shorten lifespan of machine.

I’m using cotton program - for about 2/3 to 3/4 drum full of laundry. Apparently, should take about 1.5 hours, but my washer showing inconsistent reading for time ( sometimes 3 hours!!! ) for the same load of laundry. Will be hearing from LG service people again.

Hmm, I usually put to full drum full of laundry and when it is wet, it will become 3/4 drum. Means I am overloading the machine?

Usually I used intensive program as it is already program to 1 hr. if I use other function, if the timer indicated it will takes a long time, I will stopped the machine and readjusted it to another function.

Btw, based on the manual, it is never written for any function that the full load can be 8kg, but i thought our machine is meant for 8kg of clothes???

In that case, means we have to buy 10-12kg machine to wash a 8kg load?

 Have I confused you?

I think it depends on how the laundry are packed in the drum. For me, my clothes put in layers in the drum.... Not very loose but not pressed down tight. When wet, it goes down but still more than 1/2 drum.

Yes, you are right. Manual does not say 8kg. Technician mentioned that cotton program can take 8kg wet clothes as max load.

Maybe you might want to arrange for free demo. The person who came down to my place is a technician so he also checked the machine, stability, etc, which I thought were extra pluses. Technician will also show where to fill the clothes to for max load, etc. It takes about 20 to 30 minutes.
