        I think it is super oily.

        I bou the frozen fillet from NTUC.

        If doing panfry, no need to use oil at all.

        if using oven, the oven emits a very strong odor after use.

        I will not buy frozen saba fillet again.

            I once bou from wet mkt - half thawed, very soft to handle, kinda of weird. The one from wet mkt did not leave such a bad smell in the oven.

                isn't saba mackerel?

                It is a super oily fish. No need to add any oil when baking or grilling. It does have a rather distinctive smell that not all will like.

                This is one fish where happycall pans come in handy.

                        Thanks for your concern. I'm much better now compared to this morning. Took medicine and slept a lot today.
