      Dear All,

I haven't been he for a while. Just read all the problems with school bus on the first day. Any updates on how is it operating now?

I didn't sign up in Dec as I was very fustrated with them at the school orientation. But I'm considering now because we ran into an unforseen problem a couple of days ago when my ds was on MC at home and needs to nap during the lunch hours when my maid has to pick up dd from school. So I'm considering letting dd take the school bus for the afternoon only. Anyone know where is the drop off place and time for blk 46x area?

SesamePaste.. transport is working fine to date (cross my fingers and toes too) only hiccup was on first day of school..
the only unhappiness is my girls are the first to be picked in the morning, 705 am and the last to be send back in the afternoon..2.30 pm

        Hi hanaraihana,

Thanks for your feedback. I will give bus company a call find out more. See whether it’ll be more convenient for me.

                      Hi Stacy

My DD is only P1, so I only have 5 months of experience with this school. So far I am quite happy with the school.
I think everybody's definition for a good school is different. CPS offers an all-rounded education. They have a behavioural card where they get a Star for every good behaviour exhibited. If they fill up the card, they can exchange for a $5 bookshop voucher.
The P1s were also involved in fund raising for the endangered animals and they will give the money to the zoo when they visit it in term 3. DD's class did drew pictures of endangered animals and the teachers scanned and printed them out as post cards. They sold their artwork in school during recess to the other teachers and levels. I thought that was really a valuable experience for DD.
In terms of academic, I find that DD's english improved tremendously after 5 months. She has always been good in maths so I probably don't see that much an improvement there. Same for the Chinese. DD has homework for abt 3-5 days per week on average. But the homework is very manageable can finish <20 min.
Of course there are little things here and there that I think they should do better. But those are really minor things which I am sure will happen in every school.
There are also some kids from the lower income family there. These kids generally lag behind academically. The teacher asked DD to help some of them, which I think is a great move. There are also a couple of special needs students around. But so far I don't think they are really disruptive. But my DD learnt a lot - she can tell me that she is not angry with her friend who broke her pencil because teacher say he cannot control, and therefore it's not his fault. And she is still his friend. And I am so proud of her

Maybe Champion or Kabby can share on their experience with the upper levels, but so far I am quite happy with the school. But having said that, CPS is not for you if the main focus is on academic.

Thank you Dora for taking your time to share your kids experience in school. Actually i was consider Boon Lay Garden (near my mother’s place)and CPS (near my house).

My only concern is whether my daughter can keep up the school works as i just want her to have a happy childhood . May i know what time the school starts n end ?
